Slow Cooker Rss

I have just discovered the joy of a slow cooker and have been making beautiful cassaroles. Though I find that its very difficult to clean... Any tips? I find that I have to soak the dish for a couple of days and then scrape the baked on food off with a knife. There has to be a better way.
I just fill it up with water after im finished with it, usually about 2/3 so it covers the hard crusty bit half way up and then put it in the dishwasher or wash it by hand in the sink the next day and it usually comes off easily. I notice that if i dont put water in it straight after dinner it is harder to clean.

I find that lightly wiping the pastry brush with a dab of oil does wonders for cleaning after you're finished, plus really hot water straight after you've dished up the meal...

You could try part filling with water and turn it on again for awhile. Works with pots...
Maybe rub some oil on the base before you start cooking and add a little more liquid for when you cook. You may be overcooking it if it is sticking.

Ditto! I was even thinking just last night how easy it was to clean.....as I was cleaning it wink LOL

Fill the pan with water and place a fabric softener shet in the water. Allow the pan to soak overnight. The food will wipe right out.

or

Fill pan with hot water - soak until water is cool. Empty water, sprinkle with bi-carb-soda then a cup or 2 of vinegar,

hope these work!

Hi

We empty it out, sit the bowl in the sink, fill the bowl with warm water & put the lid back on overnight.

Next day any baked on bits are soft & easy to wash off.
Hi, I just put mine in the dishwasher & make sure nothing is too close to it so that it doesn't get scratched & it comes out clean with no difficulty!
im the same just fil with water and soak then it comes right off easy
