Hoot Cake Rss

Hi mummies i was wondering if any mums had made a Hoot cake - Hoot off Giggle and Hoot. I can find pictures of homemade ones - any ideas where i can find a recipe or if any other mums have made one??
Hi, I made a cracker that I'm super proud of!
I have pictures and recipe on my blog if you want to check it out.
I used the women's weekly butter cake recipe and kind of carved the Hoot shape and iced in the colours. I had a ball making it..... Anyway, hope this helps!

That's amazing!!! Well done!

If you're on facebook, have a look at Sweet Sensation Cupcakes, they did an amazing cake & cupcakes (all Hoot)

Hi,

I made a hoot cake for DS1 1st birthday, I simply made 2 round cakes (basic butter cake) and then used butter cream (for the blue) and then coloured fondant for the other bits, loved making it

Sorry I don't think I can upload a photo though. I used a toy hoot and picture as a guide

I made a Hoot cake for my little guys 1st birthday. Bought 1kg roll of orange fondant and made the wings, feet, tail & beak a week earlier to let them dry out, then put small skewers into the fondant shapes so I could secure them easily to the cake. I bought a giant cupcake mould and used that as hoots shape as it was perfect. The bottom part of the cake was made from white choc mud (recipe from exclusivelyfood.com.au) and the top part of the cake was a lemon butter cake and I just iced it with blue buttercream and whipped cream for eyes & heart.

I couldn't work out how to upload the pic - but have made it my profile pic so you might be able to see it that way.
