play group christmas party Rss

Hi all.
Well me and my bub have a Christmas party at play group this Monday and we have to bring a plate.

Sounds simple doesn’t it?!
Well it’s not for me lol my mind is blank!

The only things i have thought of is things like...
Fruit salad.. Boring
Frankfurts and cheese.. BORING
Crackers and dip.. Boring
Cake...

I have no creativity what so ever haha...
So please please give me some good ideas.. i don’t mind abit of hard work in the kitchen or even spending a quick dollar at the shop..

Thanks.

You could make pretty cupcakes if you wanted to do something sweet or you could make fun santa gingerbread men. Mini quiches, savoury muffins. I'd go with something savoury because people always bring sweet things.

kabanna and cheese? well that's my fave at parties. my dd likes it too.
cheese puff pastrys? just sheet puff pastry cut into shapes maybe xmas trees or something to be especially festive, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake, gosh add marmite if you wanted to be fancy tongue they were my quick wee plate when I had to go to something similar the other wee and the kids gobbled them up
mini sausage rolls?
Wraps with cheese etc then sliced into little pinwheels
Mini pizzas, frankfurts, pin wheels, sandwhiches cut into shapes (Christmas ones would be cool).

I make scrolls for the girls that go down a treat, you can make the dough from scratch or buy frozen pastry and fill it with whatever you want. I make pizza scrolls (pizza sauce, ham etc) or strawberry and white chocolate...om nom nom...i might go and do some baking..... or mixed berries
I normally go fairy bread, goes down a treat, kids love it and you can use biscuit cutters to make cool shapes if you want

just wanted to say..

come Monday morning i still didn't know so i went to woollies and god a jam and cream sponge cake.. very boring haha, but did taste very yummy.
