Apricot Chicken Rss

Hi has anyone cooked apricot chicken for their little ones?

I would like to cook it for my 9 month old who is eating spag bowl and tuna morning etc

If no one has any ideas I might just use tin of apricot nectar and packet of French onion soup mix but will read the ingredients first...?

Thanks in advance smile
i have never made it before but i would just make it the same for her as you always would just google a recipe if you dont know how to make or some one on here might have one for you

Thanks I was going to do that I just thought there might have been a good receipe for kids.

Just like spag bowl I try and get salt reduced soup and tomatoes and go easy on the herbs and garlic.
Your post inspired me! Been running out of ideas for good dinners for the whole family and hubbys a pretty picky eater... But he loved it.. Anyway just in a slow cooker:

Roughly 600 g chicken, thigh or breast cut into chunks
Handful of chopped dried apricots
Handful of chopped tinned or fresh apricots
Handful of chopped green olives
Chopped veg(I did carrot and pumpkin)
1/2 cup reduced salt stock
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
Tbs each of garlic and ginger
Tsp each of turmeric and Cummings
Add some water if necessary

Easy peasy! you know exactly what's going into it and thats its healthy. Only work is the chopping!
you could use this recipe: http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/1534/apricot+chicken
I'd probably use only 1 teaspoon of the Moroccan seasoning blend for a baby though.
I generally avoid soup mixes as they're really high in salt smile
