Hi everyone i'm after some recipes for my 16 month old who is allergic to all dairy products and the protein casein in them also, he cant have soy products or even the lactose free ones either. I've completely run out of ideas for snacks and he's getting sick of fruit and vegies all the time. Any ideas would be great. I've just bought nuttelex margarine and some rice milk but have no idea what to make. I've been told i should be very careful with the milk and to only use a little bit. Thanks everyone.
Desperate for some recipes
how about some savory cakes?
grate up a selection of vegies, (i use red onion, red capcisum, celery + carrot)
grate some potato then sqeeze the starch and juice out
mix them together with some flour (use gluten free i you need to) and if you can an egg or 2, it will work with out eggs tho
shallow fry rissole sized 'cakes' in some olive oil (not too hot) and serve with a litle salt
these are great warm or cool
healthy, dairy free and yummy, my kids love them!

Why not try a rice pudding or sago, using either rice milk or Oat mik.
The oat milk adds a lovely nutty flavour. My kids find sago a bit plain but if I add a tin of fruit (pears is good) and the juice they love it.
Another suggestion is skewers as a different way to present the veges, use toasted bread squares to add interest. Cut the crusts off a slice of bread then cut it into four, brush with olive oil toast for a few mins then pop on the skewer sticks ( if using wooden ones soak them in water first) with the veges, drizzle with some more oil add salt and pepper then grill.
