home made sausage rolls Rss

I thought I'd try making sausage rolls, and this recipe turned out great! Just thought I'd share smile

preheat oven to 220 (conventional)

500g beef mince (I used lean)
2 carrots grated
2 eggs
tsp mixed herbs
salt and pepper
half or one whole onion chopped finely (depending how oniony you like it)
3 sheets puff pastry

mix mince, eggs, grated carrots, chopped onions, herbs and pepper and salt in a bowl making sure it's mixed well.

Cut each pastry sheet in half. Line a sausage shape of mince mixture along the long side of each pastry section and roll to form a big sausage roll then cut into whatever size you like (I made mini ones for DD). Brush the tops with milk and put in the oven for 20-25 mins or until golden.

Yum! especially with tomato sauce smile
