Milk Spots/baby acne Rss

My son is 4 weeks old and is mainly BF and has some nasty milk spots. they are mainly on his chin and cheeks. There very red with nasty white heads and are quite big. Im washing his face reguarly and took him to the doctors the other day and saw a student dr who gave me some fatty cream to use.

Does anyone have any recommendations of how to get rid of them
I just left them alone. Norah-Jane had a ton of them and now at 8 weeks old she doesnt really get them anymore.
Both my girls got them around 7 weeks - one formula fed, one breastfed, they clear up on their own in a couple of weeks, I didn't put anything special on them. I didn't expect it the first time though, no-one told me about them and I had forgotten by the 2nd time round but knew what they were.

Breastmilk is great to clear it up a little faster, I just rubbed a little bit on the spots after every feed and it cleared a lot faster than without anything. My midwife also said to avoid any creams as it can make it worse.

I agree with pp,Breastmilk is the best for anything like that. smile
