We were in the women's hospital in Melbourne then transferred to Wodonga hospital. all up 2 1/2 months in hospital. Kirsty and Monica, how big were your bubs born? Jamie-lee was 36cm and weighed 1220grams.

Levi was 5 pound 8.. so he was a little fatty for 34 weeks lol. Yep he comando crawled at 8 months, 6.5 corrected. All4's crawled right on 11 months. He still isnt walking yet. Today is his "corrected" first birthday smile

My lil guy was born at 31w 2d Nov 2010 at Mater Mothers Brisbane and weighed 1.66kg. He stayed in hospital for 5 weeks and came home with me & daddy on 22nd Dec once we got the all clear...best Xmas pressie ever!

He is now about 10 and a half months old, thriving big time and is happy and bubbly. He's just mastered crawling forward but loves to continue crawling (sliding mostly) backwards & twisting himself around 180 degrees with his arms on the belly! So cute and funny to watch.

I'm Jess and my DD2 was born at 36wks weighing 2.1kg (4pound 10 ounces) and I am pregnant with twins at the moment that are expected to be even earlier so I will be going up to King Eddies for them.

The next one was Richard he was 41 weeks and weighed 7lb4oz he will be 8 in the 21 april 2012, then Arizona born at 41 weeks and weighed 7lb7oz she will be 7 on the 20 march 2012, William born at 36 weeks and weighed 7lb14oz he will be 6 on the 9 may 2012, Anastrianna born at 34 weeks 8lb5oz she will be 5 on the 25 june 2012, Scott born at 36 weeks 8lb15oz he will be 4 on the 16 july 2012, George born at 36 weeks (emergency c-section) he was 8lb5oz will be 3 on the 24 august 2012, and then Twin boys Callan and Kiefer born at 34 weeks Callan weighed 2849g and Kiefer weighed 1549g born early due to kiefer not growing and me having sever anmeia that they don't where from since i had a extremly high iron count the twin will be 1 on the 17 december and i'm due to have my 10th baby on the 7 march 2012 but i'm on strict bedrest now and have been for the last two months.

Hi my name is Tracey. Our son was born 8 weeks early & he weighed 1.88kgs & was 43.2cm long. He spent 7 1/2 weeks in NICU & SCN & came home on Christmas Eve. He just turned 2 on the 6th of November & now weighs over 13 kgs & is 86cm tall. He had severe reflux until about 9 months & then it eased off. No other side effects from arriving early except he suffers from chronic ear infections & has had 2 lots of grommets already & is facing a third lot soon. Our paed will be doing some tests on his immune system soon to see if that is why he is so suceptible to the infections. He has had a difficult couple of years but is doing wonderfully & most people say that you can't even tell he was preemie.

Hi, I'm from Albury and I had Hannah 12 weeks early. She is now 20 wks old or 8 corrected. We were at the Mercy in Melbourne for 5 and a half weeks then spent 4 wks at the SCN in Wodonga. I'm a first time mum and have just started going to mothers group and feel a bit lost as everyone has such a different story to mine and all the babies are alot older than Hannah by her actual age. Hi everyone,
My name is Michelle & my little miracle Max was born 5wks premmi (35wks gestation)by emergency c-section weighing 5lb 2oz. And is now 14mths. He had alot of complications at birth, but luckily didn't need transferring to a major city hospital as we are from Wagga Wagga NSW & no transport teams were available. Max stayed in hospital for 3 1/2 weeks & is still small.... only putting on 8kgs since birth til now. He is my one & only & loved more then anything! Previous to having Max, I've had 2 miscarriages & 1 ectopic pregnancy. I also had a very compliactaed & hard pregnancy which resulted in doctors strongly advising i gave birth ASAP & they tried inducing me, which of cause was also complicated & resulted in emergency c-section. As bad & heatbreaking as it all was.... I wouldn't change a thing at all, And am thankful to be so blessed in having such a unique little guy. roll eyes

Hi all,

My baby girl was born 30weeks 5days she was 1500gms when she was born, although 9weeks early she's doing considerably well, a couple of issues like tolerating her milk, I was diagnosed with a short cervix at 20 weeks but I'm so grateful for the steroid injections and monitoring my Dr gave me as I know how sick she would/could have been without it.
She's 3weeks old and still in hospital, I hate it so much as I feel so useless but I still know she's in the best place.
