Breast Pump Reviews Rss

Hey guys, I'm a expecting the arrival of my 2nd DD in a few months and looking at the range of breast pumps im getting a little over-whelmed.

What brands hae you used and what did you think? I have looked into Avent, Meleda and Tommee Tippee myself but am so confused!! Help please =)
I swear by my medela swing, bit $$$ but worth it. I had supply issues so was pumping constantly when I got home from hospital, found it much better than the hospital pump. Think it's one of the ones the ABA recommend.
I have a electric nuby one but might get a better one this time... I want a double if I end up buying another as I found the other boob was going nuts whilst pumping one so maybe look into the doubles also!!

Totally agree! I borrowed my SIL's madela and it was great. I bought another shield for it- so it shaped to my breast. Would highly recommend it

++ And our beautiful big 2 year old girl is very excited to be a big sister ++

www.expressthebest.co.nz Great quality and cheapest in NZ (-: They keep their prices as low as possible to help women out.
Good luck!

Yeah I agree...I bought the avent manual single pump and love it! Was planning to spend the extra and get an electric medela one, but changed my mind at the last minute and am happy I did...but then one of my friends loves the medela smile everyones different smile
I've had a manual Avent pump and a Medela electric pump. I got more milk out in less time with my then 4 year old Avent handpump than the brand new, expensive Medela Swing pump.

The thing about breastpumps is that not ALL pumps work for all women...there are plenty of women all over the world who can't pump to save their lives. I would recommend, if it all possible to rent a few to try before you buy one. We ended up flogging my Medela Swing, but we didn't recoup what we paid for it, even though it had barely been used. You should probably think about how you are planning to used it too. If you are going to pump full-time then an electric pump might be a 'better' choice than a manual pump but if you aren't going to be using it that much it might be considerd a waste of money to spend $200+ on an electric pump that won't get used very often.

You might find this helpful. smile
