Breastfeeding & milk spots Rss

Hi all,

DD got milk spots for awhile when she was a bubz just wondering how many of u ladies breastfeeding had babies with milk spots too???

i'm not 100% sure but i'm pretty sure DS had them when he was little lol
DS did have 2 in the first month from memory. Just little tiny pimple like dots under his left eye.

Im wondering what ppl do aswell as i just left them to heal on their own but i always thought she was too gorgeous to have them and it was unfair cos it is a little like acne.... they were on her cheeks mostly just red not white real whiteheads i think tho not so bad but just blocked pores or something.

DD had a ripper of a case! She was covered in them, but they're all gone now. smile

Apparently it's not breastfeeding that does it, it's the transfer of maternal hormones that occurs when you go into labour. DD is the only baby that I spontaneously went into labour with (DS1 was a failed induction, DS2 a planned c/s).

I wish I was a glow worm. A glow worm's never glum ... coz how can you be grumpy when the sun shines out your bum?!

Yeah, poor little thing. She's so gorgeous, but she had red bumps AND whiteheads! Thank goodness it didn't last too long. I was really interested that it's our hormones ... if she hadn't decided to come the day before her planned c/s she might have been spared like the boys were grin

Do u know if it is uncomfortable for them??

DD had them, and I hated them!! She only had them for around 2 weeks i think though. They didn't seem to bother her and I didn't put anything on them.
Zara is now 1 month still has heaps on her poor little cheeks. Spontanious labor also heard caused by my hormones but child and youth lady said was from hormones in my breastmilk. Hope they go away soon was hoping someone would tell me that they will be gone sooner rather than later.
Yes my ds got them. Not too bad though. They were cleared up by about 2 months. He mainly just got them on his cheeks and up the side of his head (by his eye) and the odd one or two on his head.
My little boy still gets them but they usually pop up then go away within 12 hours. Don't touch them they may not be nice but you would hate to scar you beautiful bubs face. I found DS flared up more after a bath so I also refrained from wiping his face too often as keeping them dry seems to help the go away.
