Washing baby clothes with your own clothes?? Rss

Hi was wondering if when doing the washing is it all right to wash baby clothes with my own and husbands clothes or should I do it separate? and if it is OK to wash with our own clothes should I use a delicate bag for bubas clothes? More or less just curious. Don't have a little one but am expecting so just doing a little researching and asking questions and stuff smile anything would be great/helpful smile
god if i washed my bubs clothes separate from the rest of the familys id go nuts haha it's easier to just do darks and lights wink

i dont use a delicates bag for bub clothes, but i tried not to use too many fabric softeners etc for the first week after bub was born in case he/she was sensitive. then everything in together. obviously if it turns out bub has a sensitivity then you may have to but otherwise i wouldn't myself smile
All together is fine. No bags needed. I just wash my partners work clothes seperate as he is a plumber and they are gross. smile

I have never washed DD's clothes separately, that would be waaay too much work! Not to mention when they are really little it would either mean doing very small loads or only washing their clothes once every 2 weeks to get enough volume to fill the washing machine. Their clothes are only very small...
I use environmentally friendly phosphate free laundry powder, i think you just wanna make sure you aren't putting too many chemicals/soaps in until you are sure your bubs skin can handle it...

I must be one of those anal retentive mums who separate everything haha. My DS has sensitive skin so I wash his washing in special powder that doesn't react.
I usually wash DH's work stuff separately too cause its stinky. I also separate whites and colours and wash towels and sheets by themselves too lol. Makes for quite a few loads of washing a week!!

I'm much the same just put most of my clothes with the girls clothes as they are all similar colour. smile

When DD1 was a baby I used to wash separately only because she could fill the washing machine by herself being reflux (only had a small washing machine back then).

I don't wash separately, 2 adults, 2 kids, everything goes in together as much as will fit. We are a family of minimal clothes, maybe 4 days worth of outfits, 2 sets of towels and 2 sets of sheets each so I have to keep on top of the washing otherwise someone runs out of something but means everything gets worn very well instead of going to waste in draws. Bubs clothes will get thrown in too when he gets here as will his cloth nappies.

Thanks for your reply to my post really appreciate it smile helped me out heaps smile I love this posting stuff lol smile first time doing it to... comes in handy smile Cheers guys wink
