clothes washing after c-sec

Hey!
Does anyone know when I can commence the laundry (clothes washing) after a c-sec?
I had one 4weeks ago and the doctors told me not to do the washing but I can't recall them telling me how long for...

with both my c-section i was told 6 months, because of having to stretch up the doctors told me that long.

I started doing it earlier about 4 months afterwards, whenever it didn't hurt to stretch up to hang the clothes up.

I was told at least 6 weeks. I started washing baby clothes and underwear etc earlier and hung on the clothes horse. At 6 or 8 weeks I did the clothes washing, but dh did the towels and sheets for me a couple of monthss wub i found they were too heavy and pulled my scar, then i would feel a bit crap the next day.
