The best Newborn prams to buy? Rss

Hi there,
I am expecting my first bub in Feb and i am wondering what you all think the best pram for a newborn would be? And would 3 or 4 wheel be best?

Thanks x
Hiya

I definately prefer 4 wheels, we have a strider plus and love it smile

We are currently looking for a jogging stroller so have been checking out the 3 wheelers, but they feel so flimsy and unstable compared to our 4 wheeler.

The lady in one of the shops told me that whenever your using a 3 wheeler and stop (take your hands off it), you need to make sure the front wheel is under the pram to prevent it from tipping, that kinda got me worried.

Hope this helps...
Hey awsome congrats luv ah I would recommend 4 wheelers they tend to be a bit smaller and easier to get around smile I just have a cheapy kmart brand its great never had an issue with it.
Snap and go's are great to had one for bubs up until 6 months but stopped using it around 4-5 months you can hire them from baby factory or buy them brand new for $160 nz (thats what I did then sold it) smile
I bought the strider. It come's with so many option's you only need just the one. You can get the bassinette,Baby seat, second seat attchment and also the infant carrier with the car seat installment.
I found it so easy to use and great not having to pick baby out of the car seat into the pram, i could just attach the carrier onto the pram.
Here's a link for you.
Also i bought the 3 wheel's when i was testing them in the shop i found the 3 wheel's easier for me to move.

I have the Strider Plus too, its steelcraft so its a great brand. I have the three wheeler and never had a problem with it tipping, i have found that its pretty sturdy. Liked the three wheeler cos its easier to take walking. The only problem i have is that its very wide. But like Moo2Moo, i got it for the attachments. I bought the capsule and it was a lifesaver, you just clip it onto the pram. But its also very pricey...

Buying a pram is definately a personal choice, there are so many in the market at the moment, that it depends on things like: how big is your boot space, your budget, are you planning for a second bub, how strong are you to lift a heavy pram, are you a walker/jogger.

The best thing to do is visit a baby shop and trial all of them, drive them, collapse them even try them in your boot. Though the strider seems to be popular here I found the wheels weren't the best and the back wheels were very wide in comparison to other prams making tight aisles (esp in Target) hard to go through. I chose the Bebe RVerse purely bc it transfers from a bassinet to a pram without buying extra compartments, but that's not saying its the best in the market it was just the best one for me.

Good luck, happy pram shopping.
Thank you all so much for her help and advice we have found a few we love thank u smile x
I have a Baby Jogger City Elite and love it smile

Hi Kendra

If you wanted the option to design your own pram you can do so with our Rozibaby Travel System Pram (www.rozibaby.com). We're a new Australian brand and our pram builder allows you to choose what you want whether it be 3 or 4 wheeler, air or plastic tyres, bassinet/travel system/seat, colours etc.

It might be worth having a look to see whether it suits your needs! There's also a lot of information and videos in the Learn section on what to look out for from prams.

Cheers
