You can have mine! Jaala. It means blessed suprise. There's not that many of us in Aus, I've never actually met another.
In some Aboriginal languages it means 'honey ant', that was nice to find out.
In another country (can't remember where), it means 'agile mountain goat', I like the other two meanings better lol.
Good luck choosing a name, it's so hard.
Willow is my favourite name tongue
I also like Brielle, Phoenix, Matilda, Siaan smile

Nevaeh sounds like such a pretty name but like you said there is something about involvement with heaven that is a little off putting in a way.

I can't stand Nevaeh as heaven spelled backwards!!! I think it is totally cheesy (JMO- sorry if that offends anyone! smile)

Isla is becoming more popular, I know a few babies with that name.

Thats why I want to change the spelling. I hate hate hate the fact its known as 'heaven spelt backwards'. I like delilah and Harmoney.

What about the spelling Nevaia/h?
I remember I heard the name Nataya years ago even before I had kids and I really liked it. Thought I'd mention it cos it's similar to Neveah
Sorry but I think changing the spelling doesnt make the name Nevaeh any better as it wasnt really a name to begin with, but I am a traditionalist when it comes to names smile

I do like the suggestion of Nataya though. How about Niamh/Neve as well?

As a teacher, I had 2 main requirements for my kids names. They had to be easy to spell, and not easy to tease with (kids being kids!). Our 2 girls are Piper Anne and Hope Michelle. I've heard of a few Pipers since, but not many and no other Hopes - and they never get asked "How do you spell it?" (that's why it's not Pypr and Hoope or something)
Our future likes (if we have anymore) are Bethany/Bethanee, (but that's getting quite common now), Amber, Brinn, Erin, Ivory Paige or Ebony Paige, and Summer. Breanna is also nice.
Maybe Nivayeh instead of Nevaeh, it's growing on me. lol

Good luck - the naming thing is the worst!
