Is this name too odd Rss

Hi,

I've loved the name Dimitri for quite some time even though this pregnacy was not planned.

What would you do if someone close to you called their baby Dimitri??

Any ideas on Middle names?
I personally would not use it but I don't think it's too odd to use. Each to their own smile

Nothing unusual about it at all.

Although I wouldn't use it I don't think it's bad at all!

I know many europeans use that name quite commonly so I do not think it is really that odd!

Dimitri Anthony
Dimitri James
Dimitri Rylan
Dimitri Ethan

I wouldn't use it myself but a friend of mine about a year or 2 ago had a son she named Dimitri Michael... smile

Good luck!
I love it - I know DH is going to hate it...but he hated Evelyn to start off with so I left it alone and when she was born he was the one to actually suggest it!!! haha

i dont have a problem with the name... i hope your DH comes round to this name too... smile
If it's a boy lol. Im only 5 wks....but for 3 years Ive been adamant in 2012 Im going to have a boy and his name will be Dimitri.
Had Dimitri Kenneth in mind (After FIL) Michael would work to cause it's my dads middle name.

Time will tell smile
nothing wrong with that name wink
I have two friends whose boys are called Dimitri.
One is 2 and the other just started high school with my eldest. Only thing that is a down side to the name is the nasty little buggers at high school call him Dim whit..

my cousin's name is Dimitri, it's a pretty common name in France. if you like it, go for it smile

I know a Dimitri and he is lovely!
We call him Dimmy, if you love it use it, don't worry what others think smile

I like it but how would you shorten it?
I have a friend called Demetri and he absolutely loathes his name he actually doesn't let many people know his real name (apart from if he legally has to) and we all just call him Spike.

I agree though if u like the name use it I don't think its a horrible name

I used to love it until I met a really arrogant guy with that name! Spoiled it for me!

But I don't think it's odd and I think it's a nice name. The guy I know used to get Dimmy and Dim for short though.......
