I like the name Ziggy and would spelt it with a Z - 1) to avoid correcting people constantly and 2) Siggy makes me think of ciggie and I wouldnt want that connotation to my childs name.
not really my favourite but i do like it for a nickname. I just like to pick names that will sound alright if they grow up to be a doctor or the likes

If it was to be pronounced Ziggy that is how I'd spell it. Seeing it written as Siggy I actually said it as Ciggy in my mind then saw how it was supposed to be pronounced.

As for the name itself, I've heard that name used as a nickname before (it was someone I only had casual contact with and they were introduced as Ziggy so no idea what their proper name was though) so it isn't that big a stretch for me if it is used as a name.

I agree with the others of if I used the name to spell it with a 'Z'. Personally, not something I'd pick but not everyone has to agree with yours or others names choices.

Mum to one DS

Actually reminds me of a cigarette !!

I don't mind Ziggy as a nickname but I wouldn't use it as a first name.
Siggy reminds me of a cigarette and I can't imagine people would pronounce it "ziggy". Ziggy spelt with a z Im personally not a fan of, maybe for a nickname

Don't think much of it i'm afraid.

Reminds me of a cigarette too. Im not a fan sorry...

DS born 2010

I don't really like it, sorry. But it's not what everyone else thinks that matters. I agree, probably better with a Z - I first thought it sounded like a "Ciggy" too.

Ziggy reminds me of this comic strip guy - I had a stuffed toy of him when I was little.

thanks everyone i dont like it either it is my cousins name and i just dont get why she (his mum) used an S instead of a Z
he is a twin and his twin's name is isaac so a very normal name and his sister is felicity

I once knew someone called seigfried but got called Ziggy only and I don't mind it

I knew a Sigrid, who got called Siggy but have never heard it being used for a boys name as a standalone name.
My parents had a dog called Ziggy so it doesn't work for me.

I would def spell it Ziggy though if it was for a name!
