here we go again

we found out about 3 weeks ago that we are expecting our 3rd daughter... I had decided on name for her and told my mum the name expecting she wouldn't tell anyone... Had tea at my sisters the other night and found out she now knows and along with my mum doesn't like the name....

fast forward to today i had a midwife appointment and she asked if i knew what i was having and what name i was thinking of using.... Once again another person that doesn't like it....The midwife just went on to say that she really likes what i had named dd2 as she was with me at the time..

Am just so confused as to whether i should use the name i had picked or start the search again... So hard. unsure

The name in question is Emersyn

If you like it then use it. If DS was a girl then he would have been Sophie which I knew my mum didnt like from previous conversations (we didnt tell anyone our choices) but she said no matter what their name she would love them anyway.

If you like the name, then use it! We decided to stop telling people the names we liked when I was pregnant with DD as everyone had their opinion etc. DD's name is Isabeau and we've had quite a few people who don't like it but the majority of people do.

Personally I like the name but would spell it Emerson. Fair chance you DD would be called Emma, so if you are happy with that then go for it.

If anyone asks tell them you havent picked a name wink

My MIL told me very happly that she doesn't like my youngest son middle name. His middle name is my dad name. It hurt me to the core, i only just lost my dad and i was honouring him. Hubby told his mum to keep her thoughts to herself.

Since then hubby had that saying.

It's becoming quite popular the Emerson I look after is called em at school if you like it go for it u will probably regret it if you don't. Hubby an I have decided when we are expecting not gunna discuss names with anyone, MIL already hates the boys name we love but she does not know its the name we like oh well will be a shock to her when/if we have a boy. To be honest I think its a bit rude to comment on names unless you love them cos who knows who loves or hates them. But that is just me.

My cousin has an Emersyn, she gets Emme and Em more than anything else. I really like it smile I'm another that doesn't share names with others until baby is named, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, you and your partner are the only ones who need to agree and be happy with the name.

I really regret that i told anyone the name.... Ive decided to stick with it as i really like it... Have even given DP the task of deciding her middle name so will be interesting to see what he comes up with roll eyes
