How would you say this name? Rss

there are a few different wink names in DS2 kindy class and I have had trouble with saying this one?

RHIEN??

I reckon it is just a fancy spelling of RYAN myself but i could be wrong

LOL your probably right, here I was thinking of 10 other ways to say it but RYAN didn't even come to mind!!!

Why couldn't they just spell it like that!!!
Do some people not think about how hard it will be for their child growing up when they have to constantly correct people?

Lol i came up with a few different pronounciations but then i looked again and i was like ah ha maybe Ryan lol i could be wrong though at first i thought it was like Wren or something like that.

So many people want their children to have a different name but i think when you take a straight forward name and then spell it different it doesn't make the child's name stand out it just makes everyone confused if you want them to have a unique name it needs to sound different not just be spelt different.

Lol sorry about my little rant

Don't be sorry I'm with you on that one!!
I'll ask DS2 after School but I'm sure you've got it right smile

Ryan or rain huh
Dd1 has a few Indian lil kids and I just can't say there names sad I feel awful so it's just hey....you laugh
The first pronounciation that popped into my mind was 'Ree-en' but after reading tutu & lulu's reply, Im thinking it's ryan too.

Some people are into the fancier spelling of names. They think it makes them less old fashioned lol.
From my understanding its the Celtic version of Ryan...but than again that could be Rian im thinking of.
Wow thats def diff, Ryan didnt even come to mind until you mentioned it, my first thought was Rain.

You were right Tutu & Lulu His name is Ryan blink

Don't get me wrong I love the name just not the spelling!!!

I have that name in my class. I pronounced it Ryan first off , but parents said it was Ray-en.
