Boy Names are hard!! Rss

So we finally heard a name that my DH and I liked only to be dissapointed that it doesn't go with our last name( Well thats my thought DH doesn't reckon)
WE like the Ryder but our last name is Rye. Obviously it would be Ryder Rye

I think it sounds silly to have it kinda rhyming lol what are peoples thoughts or alternative names only 6 weeks to go and no closer to any name!! arrrrrr

I totally agree. Boys names are very hard we had lots of trouble try to think of names for the twins. We found girls names so much easier.

I agree with you that Ryder Rye does sound a little silly. But saying that how often do you say both names together. It's really a personal choice.

Sorry not much help good luck for the rest of your pregnancy and deciding on a name. smile

That's what DH reckons you hardly say them together but yeah I dunno LOL

Lol. We were the opposite when we had dd. had boys name picked and ready to go but didn't name dd until day 3 because we weren't 100% on girl names. Lol.

I think Ryder rye is a bit too similar to be honest. My ds is Xavier. And had we had a boy when we had dd it would have been Sebastian. Sebastian was top choice this time round too til we changed our mind and went with Xavier. If we have another tho would prob be Sebastian. I love that name.

My other favorite boy name was Damien (but DH knows someone at work by that name so wasn't as struck)

Can't think what else we had on our short list off the top of my head now but those were def the top names. smile
Boy's names are hard, I had a girls name ready if our monkey was a girl but he grew something extra. It took us awhile but we settled with an awesome name, and haven't had second thoughts about it. Some of the other names we were considering are: Fynn, Sterling, Saxon and Arden. I think Ryder Rye could work mainly cause you don't often say a persons full name but it's still something you will hear so it's really personal choice. The option is always there to use Ryder as a middle name smile
I love the name Ryder!
It's top of my list if we have another boy!
But sorry I wouldn't put it with Rye!
With a spunky name like Chase I'm thinking ~
Kody
Nate
Seth
Deegan
Brody
Trae
Taj
Cole
Nash
Blake
Good luck deciding!

Too hard to decide i don't wanna have baby and no name lol

Boys names are really hard, we have about the same time left and everytime i settle on a name a few days later i dont like it anymore! I have a feeling he is going to go home without a name!
I think Ryder Rye is a bit much! Just my opinion ofcourse, everything sounds better after you get used to it!
We have a few names that we like maybe one will help! We have Riley, Oscar, Oliver, Sebastian, Alexander and Brodie! Those are the names that i like but having a really hard time picking one for him!
Good luck i know how hard it can be!

Agree with the other ladies! Love Ryder but perhaps not with Rye! We had a boys name picked from the start but struggled with girls names, mostly because we couldn't agree! We chose Chevi for our little man!
I'm finding it hard to narrow down some boys names. Atleast when i had girls names, there was a list aslong as my arm!
I like a few, but none really stand out except 'Deacon'. But just recently a friend of mine found out she was having a boy aswell & Deacon is on her list too... lol. wink

haha we had a similar problem!!

Originally the ONLY boys name that hubby and I both liked for a boy was Nathaniel (Nate) but hubby's name is Daniel, and the family tradition is that the first born son gets the fathers name as a middle name which would have made him Nathaniel Daniel! haha!! Neither of us like Nathan either so we couldn't just change to that.

We've now settled on Elliot (Eli) Daniel if it's a boy =]
I think Ryder Rye has quite a ring to it. There are quite a few names around that have that similar ring and I think they make that person stand out eg Dexter Dunn ( the harness driver), Jesse James, Rachel Ray etc...probably others but cant think at the mo.

Your call of course as you have to be comfortable with it.
