As above. I have always used this recipe to make caramel slice but I can not find it for the life of me and need to make one for a family do tomorrow. smile

Oops I meant condensed milk tin
Double oops hit the wrong button and put it in wrong section, oh dear must be nearly bed time!
I don't have the one off the tin, but I found this one...

The scary thing is....

...I actually still have a can with it on it!!!!

Always remembered that I had a can in the cupboard and thought, Hmmm...that must be getting old. When you asked I thought yep, probably, and sure enough it's on there.

SO anyway. Here it is:

1 cup S/R flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup desiccated coconut
125g melted butter
395g can condensed milk
2 tbl sp. golden syrup
30g butter extra
150 g dark melts, melted

Preheat oven to 180. Grease 18cmx 28cm lamington tin.
Combine first four ingredients, mix well. Press into pan. Bake 10 mins.
Comb. condensed milk butter golden syrup in pan. Stir over med. heat until boiling, reduce heat stiring constantly further 5 mins.
Spread over base, bake for 10 mins, cool.
Spread top of slice with melted dark choc.
Refrigerate until set.

Sounds good! Might have to try it.
I think i'll buy a new can of condensed milk though!
I'll add a little tip!
I use 200g choc to get nice even coverage, also if you add 2tsp of vegetable oil to the melted chocolate; it still sets but won't crack when you cut the slice. I also only use 1/2 a cup of brown sugar to the base as with the caramel and choc its already sweet enough!
(Oh and I cook the caramel layer for 20mins.)
