Twins Due in July 2012 Rss

Hi

I have a soon to be 2yr old boy and I've just found out I'm 17 weeks and with twins!! The only thing is my Grandparents think it was generations ago that there were any twins in the family.

I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and am wondering if there's any groups of sorts for parents of twins to be?

So far I'm doing okay (apart from work, the legs are starting to go), but that's alright my manager understands, and has helped me out with getting me sorted for maternity.

Thankyou for listening

hi

congratulations on the twins smile my daughter was 2.5yrs when our twin boys were born. it was hectic at first but its slowly getting easier lol

have a look at www.multiplebirthparents.com (forum) and have a search for your local multiple birth association/group.

hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly smile
Congratulations on your twins smile I am 20 wks preg with twin boys, due 3rd July, but will have a c section at 36 weeks (so they will be born early June)
I live in Armidale NSW & my youngest will be just three when they are born.
Thanks ladies,

I was feeling worried about the whole situation, but now I've read up a bit about twins and spoken to a few more people about having twins. I know we'll cope in someway shape or form. I've already started feeling the bubs move, so I know that's a good sign. Can't wait to find out the sexes of these two babies (names, clothing etc).

Thanks crazy-mummy I'll look into the forum.

And Tracey how's your pregnancy going?

Congrats on your pregnancy! I am from the coast but living in Tassie at the moment. We have just found out we are expecting twins in October. These will be bubs #4 & 5 gasp

Hi nicnet smile

Pregnancy is going well so far, thanks smile Had an ob appointment yesturday and he is very happy with how things are progressing ... i have another scan (every two weeks till delivery) next Friday, so looking forward to seeing how they are growing... Twin B is a week behind Twin A, hopefully he doesnt fall any further behind... Im just so thankful for the regular scans so they can keep an eye on it.
Starting to feel a few definate kicks here and there ... which is soooo reassuring smile

Do you know if your twins are Frats, or Monos? Mine are Mono di... same placenta, same sac, with a seperating membrane, they are identical smile
I'm now 25 weeks and had my 24 week scan, dr is quite happy with the progress of the two little bubs, TA is 700gm and TB is 675gm, it's funny but I swear TB is more active than TA (or it may be I'm right handed, lol). Twins are fraternal (own sacs and placentas), so in the lower risk. Had to go on maternity alot earlier than I was expecting as I couldn't stand in one spot for more than 1 hour, so I finished up in week 23. I love it when I get to see the littlies on the big screen, it just makes me feel so much better that were all doing fine! Speak to you soon and good luck!

Caongratulations! I'm the mother of a 5yr old, 4yr old and 4 month old identical twins all girls. Its a bit hectic to begin with. Give things like twin breastfeeding a go, don't get worried if it doesn't work like you expect it too... Being a mum of twins I find I make up my own rules about feeding and waking up babies for feeds. All the best!!
