Water birth. Yay or nay

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and trying to decide if i want a water birth or not. I've heard that a water birth can be less stress on Baby but I was hoping for some advice/stories on this.

I had a water birth with DD (It wasnt a planned waterbirth I just went into the bath and wouldnt get out lol!) and it was sooo relaxing! I loved it! With DS I gave birth on my back in the hospital bed I ended up have gas and pethidine. With DD I didn't have any drugs and she was posterior(sp?) And I cant really say for sure but I think the waterbirth is the reason she is such a relaxed content bub smile The only downside was that DDs temperature was low for a while but went to normal after a day smile

I had a water birth and loved it! As soon as I got in I felt "normal" and not in any pain. I was relaxed and had no pain relief, and I didnt tear. I recommend them to everyone! Some people are scared their babies will drown but its not possible.

I am planning a water birth for this bub. I'm booked into a birth centre within a major hospital and they offer water births.

I had planned one with DD but she went too far overdue so I was excluded from birth centre care and had her in the hospital.
