Contractions. Rss

As the days get closer to bub being due, I feel like I spend all my time wondering what exactly contractions feel like, or if i will confuse them with the babys movements.

So can anyone describe what they may feel like??
Ahh it's been a while lol
But basically they start off like niggling pain (for some) and your tummy will tighten also.
My waters broke first so my contractions I knew were contractions plus they were a bit more painful then Braxton hicks at the start that is then it get to a new level of pain lol but hey I did my first labour on gas wink
Time them also if they are getting closer and closer together well it's more than likely labour when there about 5 minutes apart go up to the hospital smile
You'll definatly know. They get stronger and very ouchy. I had contractions that ran through my back not in my stomach, although my stomach did still go hard.
Mine always start off feeling like mild period cramps gradually intensifying until they eventually move into a realm of pain unlike you've ever felt. It's all good - makes you feel like the queen of the world when you get to the end and think back at how tough you are to get through it. Woo hoo - good luck!

I woke up in the morning with 'pain' but thought I was dreaming until the next one came. Like you I had no idea being my first. I honestly was in denial for the first like 6 hours. Lol its pain that makes you stop and think s**t that kind of hurt! Lol
I went to bed an heard a "pop" noise but no fluid. Woke up 1hr later with intermittent cramps that amped up then tapered off. Some ppl say period type cramps. I would say it waas in that exact area but a different feeling. As I was told, you know when it's happening . Very true,..
I was 9 days over and completely doubting whether or not I would be able to tell! My bub was posterior so my pains probably werent like a normal labour, I was just having some back pain coming and going along along with what I thought were braxton hicks. By the time I really thought it was early labour and headed to the hospital I was 5 cm dilated! Even in full on labour all I could feel was my back hurting like hell,I didnt notice any belly pain at all!

I was terrified as i didnt know what the labor pains would be like..

But like others have said ohhhhhh you'll notice the difference cos i did!!
When I was pregnant my sister in law said if you have to ask "is this labour" chances are it isn't... At 2:35am when I had my first contraction there was not a doubt in my mind that baby was coming! I don't know if I had smaller contractions as other people say the early ones are like period cramps, I may have slept through some of that so can't say for sure but I think you will notice
