How long for you: From bloody show to birth? Rss

Hi,

After you had your bloody show, how long was it til you had 1. contractions, 2. went to hospital and 3. gave birth?

I know it's different for everyone but I never had one with DD1 so just curious and want to know how everyone else progressed!
Never had one with dd,

Went to the toilet once contractions had started with ds and there it was. smile 4 hours later he was born!

I only had a show with my second baby (that I know of).
I went to the toilet, got back to bed, realised there was something gooey in my undies, saw it was a show, started getting contractions about 30mins later, had DD1 about 13hrs later!
With my son it was a few weeks before anything happened, and with my daughter I lost it gradually over a few weeks so I have to wait for contractions to start to know I'm in labour.
my show came about 5 hours after my full waters broke and baby was born 2.5 hours later.. they said was very quick for my first so consider myself lucky smile
With DD i lost it nearly 2 weeks before going into labour! My sister lost her and a few hours labout started having contractions! It so hard to tell!

Contractions started 9.30am, went to hospital at 1pm, bloody show at 6pm when I was 9cm, started pushing, baby came out at 8.04pm and water was broken by midwife a few minutes before I gave birth smile

Mine came out when my waters broke. Contractions started about an hour later & baby was born about an hour & a quarter after the first contraction.
I never had any show or any waters breaking with either of my 2 girls until the last 5 mins of labour.
dd1. had 1 contraction very early in the morning. had irregular contractions all day. started breathing through them at 7pm and she was born 2 hours later.

dd2. pre labour for 4 weeks. very irregular easy contractions (as in could still do stuff through them and talk through them) over about 5 hours then born within 30 mins of first proper full on cx.
Thanks girls!

I only had a little show, but hopefully I will be ready to rock and roll soon (38 weeks, fully effaced and 3cm).

So interesting reading everyone's different stories, hope there are more ladies that'll share!

I think the thing that always gets me most nervous is knowing when to go to hospital. Once I'm there I feel better!
I lost mine at 36.5 weeks and I am now 38.5 and still waiting ..............
Sounds like baby is on the way fairly soon, hopefully! I woke to a contraction in the middle of the night and must have had a show sometime shortly after that. Waters broke in the early morning and I went to hospital about 4 hours before she was born. Total from first contraction to birth was 8 hours.
