Waiting .......... But now getting a bit hoooo hum! Rss

Hi everyone,

I have really tried not to be impatient as I wait for my boy to arrive but I am now starting to get a little anxious as time ticks away. I am 40 wks 3 days and mum flys home in 5 days and my husband is working full-time. I have a 4 year old and have now run out of any leave entitlements from work sad
I'm sure my bundle of joy won't be too far away as I am experiencing tightenings and have had 2 shows. I'm just feeling really sad and well a bit hoooo hum.
Trying to stay positive smile
Sam
Hope it happens soon. Those last few days really suck. You feel like a sitting duck - hard to plan to go out because either a) you will be tired and grouchy b) the restroom facilities are not up to scratch for a pregnant bum or c) you don't know if you'll go into labour.

2 shows - can't be too far off

I hear ya! I'm 40 weeks today with no signs that this little one is coming anytime soon.... Want her out but at the same time am freaking out about what i have to go through.... Am going to bed every night wondering if i will get woken up by labor pains like i did with DD2.....

Hope it happens soon for you smile

Go for walks, star jumps, eat something spicey, lift something heavy, massage your ankles or do housework bub will arrive before you know it.

Good luck....
Nipple stimulation might be worth trying too, its suppose to release the same hormone that kick starts labour.

Good luck, hope all goes well smile

Thanks ladies, I did some retail therapy today! And now just resting. Off to see midwife tomorrow then doctor on Friday. Let's hope I don't make it as I am not really interested in hospital induction. Keep you posted, Sam
i went two weeks over with my first and my midwife suggested a big walk not to hard though and placing evening primrose vaginally after piercing the end it helps soften the cervix ask your midwife about it might help you
