Did it happen to you or not? Rss

I remember thinking when i was younger that all women must have their waters break because that's what always happens on the movies! (of course it must be real if its in the movies)
But i am actually curious to know how many of you had your waters break naturally and how many of you had your waters broken by a midwife/doctor during your labour?
Most stories i hear are that people had their waters broken for them so interested to know how many people have done it either way!

My waters broke naturally and it was like something out of the movies! I had 3 strong contractions and then my waters burst and went everywhere. Had DD 8 hours later smile

ARBONNE - Pure, Safe, Beneficial! PM me for information smile

With my daughter she was a planned c-section so no water breaking there.

With the twins yes my water did break. 4.15am was a total surprise. thought that I just needed to go to the toilet. It also ended in a c-section as well.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. Hope that you have a fantastic birth.

My waters broke naturally at the hospital about 3 hours before DD was born. I was on phone to Mum telling that yes bub was cming and it wasn't another false alarm. Felt a pop! then it was like someone had thrown a jug of water down my trousers..... It went everywhere and there was so much.

mine got broken for me what happened with your DD? and some times babies are born with he waters intact lol

I was induced a day over my due date so I had my waters broken for me..boy was that uncomfortable blink
I was looking out for the mucous plug and the waters breaking but NOTHING! Even after 3 days of contractions. Finally they had to break my waters when they induced me.

First labour I had them broken by midwife after I started pushing. They would not break naturally. Second labour (twins) I had them broken to start induction, contractions started about 20mins later.

hello there skip! Long time no see!!!

Both mine were broken for me because I asked them to. Both babies born 5 minutes later. It's quite possible that both my babies could have been born still in the sac however it makes for a slower delivery.... at that end point when I couldn't stand it any more I just knew that if they broke the waters they'd be out in a jiffy!

DD after 19 hours of contractions waters were broken, 15 hours after that DD was born.
DS, waters broke spontaneously, and he was born 4 hours later smile
I had to go in to the hospital to see if my water had broken with DS as I wasn't sure what it was, it was just a slow and not the gush imagined.
My 2 girls were very consistent. Both times it was the middle of the night, I was in bed, waters broke (DF actually heard them break with DD2), pains started about half an hour later & babies born 3 hours later with DD1 & just 1 hour later with DD2.
Fortunately with both I manage to shuffle off to the toilet before I made a mess everywhere!
With Ds1 I got up to go to the toilet at 1am my waters broke as soon as I got out of bed. Contractions started at 130 and he was born 9 hours later. Ds2 contraction started at 5am, they broke my waters at 3 and he was born 42 minutes later.
