will i have one again?

hi ladies!! i am the proud mum of 1 lil girl who has just turned 4 years old an 2 days ago found im now pregnant again!! were excited but nervous due to past misses, when i had my first girl she was born c-section after 12 hours of tryin for natural but cervix not goin any further than 2-3 cm, hence the c-section, im wondering whats the chances ill have a c-section again with this baby?? smile

All I can tell you is every pregnancy is different and just because you had a C-section and a hard pregnancy doesn't always mean this one will be the same. Just try not to stress and wonder what will happen. I had two natural births but they were totally different! My first child was born very quick and in the ambulance and I ended up with a 3rd B degree tear. When I was pregnant I was a little anxious at what would happen this time around, and even though it is hard try not to think about what may happen because you will just put more stress on yourself. My second pregnancy was longer and smoother and even though I did tear again, this time 2nd degree, it was nothing like the first.

So I guess you have to keep it in the back of your mind that you might have another C-section, but try to enjoy your pregnancy. smile

i cant help but get ahead of myself i did it with my first i guess im just eager smile but as long as all runs smooth an i get past 12 weeks with no problems ill be happy either way smile thank you again smile

I had an emergency c section with my daughter 16 months ago and will be attempting a vbac in late November with my 2nd. There will only be about 22 months between my two and my mw has told me my chances of having a c section are no different to anyone else's. It was all circumstantial and every pregnancy and birth is different smile

Depends on a few things as to whether you have another c-sect. They won't induce you if you go overdue, you need to go into labour naturally and will generally monitor you more closely during labour (and sometimes give you a time limit to dilate so recommend you only front to hospital when you absolutely need to rather than right at the start) and also depends if your OB/midwife will let you try for a VBAC. Private will generally push you for another c-sect, my experience with public is limited (have had 2 in private and currently going through public with #3)

I got bullied into a 2nd c-sect and now 3rd time around I don't even get a say :/
