I was wondering if there was stll a group who were using clomid or starting to use clomid.

I am day 3 of my first round of clomid, I am not having any side effects at this point in time and just wondering if I am one of the lucky ones or is it not working, I am taking 50mg cyle day 2 - 6.

My FS has not got my booked in for bloods to check my levels just wondering if you think I should go to my GP to get bloods done, or just stick to temp charting and OV kits.

If you have been on clomid did you get your BFP?

Hope I can find some clomid mummies to help me through my cycle would be great.

I used Clomid 2 times, and forgot to take it the 3rd month and fell pregnant!! I think it is a funny story,,

Yes get your bloods done, it could be something as simple as your iron levels not being high enough or your hormones, silly simple things can make it harder to fall.

Best of luck and I hope that you will be seeing a pink line on that preg test soon.

I'm having problems to fell pregnant. Went to GP and found out I have PCO's. I had done ultrasounds and blood test, she said I need clomid cos' my progesterone level is low so went to Gyn/Obs and he sent me more blood tests...
I would like to know how they started the clomid with you...was it inmediately?
I'm worry I will have to wait more time now, when I've already waited for 1.5 years!
I really want a baby

I'm currently on my 2nd round of clomid 50mg days 5-9, my gyn/obs has been great and i get blood tests done on day 21 to see my progesterone levels. Both of these so far have come back indicating that i have ovulated as anything over 10 is good.

I was prescribed clomid in august after very long irregular cycles and the fact that i wasn't ovulating on my own. I chose not to take it until this year though as i wanted to try for 12 months on my 'own'.

I still temp and use OPK's just i can time BDing right, as the clomid has me ovulating on CD16 with a 29 day cycle.

Benfee - I think I remember you from the TTC group, did you ovulate on your first round, I have done lots of reading and it sounds like days 5-9 are the most common unsure why I am on 2-6.

Ekali - I got my clomid when I asked for it, I was mid way through a cycle so had to wait for day 2 of my new cycle which felt like forever it was the only month I wanted AF to show up so I could begin.

I am still not having any side effects so just praying it is working, I am temp and I will use opk's to check but might also go see my GP to get bloods done, I do feel my FS has just given me my clomid and sent me on my way. I think I will start using OPK's from cycle day 8 but have put hubby on notice FS said every 2 days from day 9. I am praying this option works for me I really don't want to so IVF in October.

Yes i was lucky enough to ovulate on my first round and my second which has lead to my BFP this morning. not sure why you have been told days 2-6, do you have long irregular cycles? Cos clomid can change your O day to late in your cycle so perhaps that's why..

We were looking down the IVF path also, and i really hope you don't have to go that way and that your body responds to the clomid.

How are you going i have pcos to, im 24 and just found out im pregnant with my second bub.

I fell with my first caitlyn all on my own she just happened and when she was about 6 months old we decided we would try for another.

.After about 8 months i decided to go see a doctor and found out i had pcos. I was devastated!

Then we had a death in the family ( my husbands twin brother) so that put things on hold for a while.

I Started on Clomid ( and had no side effects)in March the first cycle i did not ovulate so obviously that cycle was a right off.

I got my period on day 28 witch was a first for me lol so i started my second round of clomid in April .. i went for my day 10 scan and there didnt seem to be any follicles there sad i went for my day 21 blood test and yep came back i had not ovulated so once again i thought the second month was a right off but then my period was late.

I called the Gyno and he sent me for another blood test witch came back that i had ovulated but really late in my cycle so i was thinking ohhh *** i have missed it.

But then my period still didnt come and my boobs were sore so i thought ok ill do a test and guess what it was possitive.

So im about 5 weeks and have a scan in 2 weeks for an accurate due date.

All up it took 18 months to fall as my first just turned 2 so i am very happy.

I am starting my first round of clomid this month too!
I have had endometriosis and irregular cycles so my Dr thought we could try clomid, I am ovulating though but trying to get everything regular.
I am really hoping that the clomid will help. I am on 50mg day 5 - 9.

Hi Ladies!!! I am seeing my Doc tmrw, he is putting me on clomid which is perfect timing as Af arrived on sunday so that will make day 3 when I c him. So exciting nd hoping nd praying this will b our month. I had the dye put through my tubes on the 10th of May nd found 1 blocked tube ( hence y I am going on clomid ). I also have just finished my first round of Clomid 50mg days 4-8. I am now on day 10 of my cycle.
I also have PCOS and have been TTC since March last year. I don't ovulate or menstruate on my own so I had to go on 3 months of high dose contraceptive pill to bring periods.

My side effects weren't too bad- just some hot flushes, bloating and a few small headaches but nothing too bad (not compared to the pill!)

So nice to hear of others who can relate. Wish us all luck xoxox

How is everyone going with their clomid?

I finished it 5 days ago and have been crampy the last two days. I'm taking that as a good sign!

Hows the clomid working for everyone???

I have had cramps since last Friday, so it's now been 7 days and I rang my FS to see if this is normal...and apparently it is, it's my ovaries getting a bit of a shock and being told to get their a into g by the clomid. So it looks like clomid is working for me, which means the pains equal ovulation (well here's hoping) so now all I have to worry about now is making a baby! Here's hoping this is my month!

now that i'v read your posts about the cramping i'm feeling as tho mine might not be working... i'm on 50mg days 2-6 and out of the 3 months i'v been taking it, only the first month i had cramping... i remember sometimes getting cramping before i was on clomid but it wasn't every month which is why i was put on clomid bcos i clearly wasn't ovulating every month....what to do? try for round 4 and ring my ob/gyno if i still dont feel cramping? ......i know the cramping feeling so well, it would always tell me that it was ovulation time.... hadn't even thought about it until i read these posts!!!!!!

HI ladies smile we have been TTc #2 for almost 3 years now, i have PCOS and been seeinf a fert specalist since feb. I have finished all the testing that needed to be done and now i have just been given clomid. Im happy and scared at the same time, more about the side effects, had anyone had any really bad ones? wishing you all the best of luck smile

Hi Ladies!!! Hubby nd I started clomid on the 25th of May, so we r 3 tablets in so far. I am taking them days 5-9 nd so far touch wood haven't had any side effects. Fingers crossed this is our month nd urs also.

I would like to join this thread too if thats ok? Im not on Clomid but a different type of Fertility Medication - Femara.

A bit of history, hubby and i have been married for 3 1/2 years and have been TTC for 15 months now. We are on our 3rd round of Clomid with a high chance of triplets!!! But we are willing to take the chance as we are desperate for a baby!! One two or three!!

Some side effects ive experienced on Femara are: hot flushes, dry skin, all day nausea and bad mood swings for the last two rounds!!

Good luck to everyone TTC!! Its hard for your mates to understand everything we are going through - the 3 blood tests a month and internal ultra sounds - i live in the country to its 5am starts for me then its a 2 hour drive back to work!!!

Hi Ladies!! Well tday is day 5 of clomid nd the excitement of possibly getting a BFP this month is driving me crazy lol. It honesty feels like TWW but instead it will b nilly a whole month lol. I so far have had no symptoms with taking the clomid which I am not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I have heard some women say that they had no symptoms which means it wasn't working for them. Is there any ladies out there that had no symptoms but still got there BFP? I guess I just need some reassurance that having no symptoms is still a positive thing.

Thank u for ur reply, I am so hoping it is a good sign. I am CD10 tday so still a while to go. I have my ultrasound on Thursday then my bloods on the 10th june (CD21) here's hoping it works.

I think we are all in the same boat with this one...I hadn't had my AF for about 11months and when I got it I was so happy beacuse I felt "normal" again (i think that will be the only time in life I will be happy to get it though haha). Now Im wanting the opposit and hope that my AF doesnt come this month which means clomid would have worked. My fingers and toes are crossed that this is my month.

This has been my first month with Clomid and when I took it and about a week or so after I had hot flushes like you wouldnt believe...not at all fun! Now I know how my mum feels lol. Apart from the hot flushes I felt pretty normal. I have been suffering from major cramps for about 7 days (they are now passing), but after talking to my FS he said that is because Im ovulating etc.

Anyhow don't stress if no symptoms because I notice on here there are a few ladies that havent experienced any side effects with clomid.

I am on my first round of clomid (this time) I am taking 50mg days 5-9.

We have got a 19mth old wee angel who was concieved on our first round of clomid last time (days 2-6) - so just to make all you ladies without symptoms feel better...... I had none at all last time and got my long awaited BFP!!!

I am on day 11 at the mo, and had some really weird sharp pains in my left side last night, not really sure if it is a sign of ovulation or not, I have never had ovulation cramps (possibly because I never ovulate - ha ha!!)

Mel - you must be close to testing??? How long??

Fingers crossed we all get lucky this month!!

I guess we just all need some reassurance at times, nd having the hurdles we have to get throu to get our very much wanted BFP having the support from others is very comforting. Our friends nd family r gr8 but they dnt really no how darn hard it can b emotionally.

Im still waiting for AF to show up, then im on Half a tablet on days 2-7 then the next month im on one full tablet same days i think, i havnt even looked at them yet only just picked them up about half hour ago! Af is all over the place at the moment, they stay for about 2 weeks then go for 2 weeks but now they are here for one and a half weeks, so i have no idea when its supposed to come, im hoping soon though!

If I was you I would wait until you are due.... not very easy I know, but when I was pregnant last time, I only got a really faint BFP the day after AF was due, so if I had tested early I am sure it would have been negative.
Depends on the person but if I had seen the negative it would have got me down - at least by not testing you still have hope smile

They told me last time the clomid would help bring my cycle back to 28 days so hoping that will be the same this time smile

It might just be that the clomid is giving your hormones a shake up!!
I have been doing a bit of reading on the internet and everything I have found says we are likely to O from 5-10 days after your last pill - which means this week smile

Hi Jebr!!! Thank u for ur reply......I guess they r, they dnt really know what's hit them lol. So hoping nd praying this is both our months. I am not using OPK's hubby nd I r just BDing everyday or every other day, bound to get the jackpot sooner or later.

That's so exciting that u r only 1 day ahead of me, maybe we will b able to test on the same day lol. I am going to try very hard to wait till the day AF is due ( not holding my breath there tho, temptation will prob get the better of me)
Have u had any side effects? I haven't experienced any as yet. Is this ur first round? Keep me posted how ur doing, its lovely to have someone to chat to about this. Family nd friends r gr8 but dnt really understand what we r going through.
