Hi All,

I am new to this forum, i have recently gotten married and my husband and i have decided to try for a family. I have been on the Levlen ED pill for almost 11 years. So far by looking through this forum i have felt the pregnancy type symtoms since coming of the pill but not pregnant. I finished my pill packet once my period finished and have not had a break through bleed, so far it has been 27 days since my last period. Is this normal

I have started taking folate and changing my diet, just wanting to know what other people's experiences are when you came of the pill for a long period of time?

My husband is 29 and i am 28

When I was a teenager I was on the pill for a couple of years and when I came off it it took several months for my period to return to normal. I think this can be pretty common. I wasnt TTC so am not sure how that affects your cycle etc

I was on Levlen for about 5 years (and a different pill for 5 years before that). I'm also about the same age as you - just turned 29 last month smile

When I came off it, I got my period after 28 days, just like normal, but it's not like that for everyone. Some people take longer to get their period back properly, especially if you've changed your diet as well.

From my experience, I would advise you to wait 3 months after coming off the pill before trying to conceive, as being on the pill for a long time can cause the uterus lining to be too thin for the baby to implant into. Not to scare you, but I fell pregnant 2 months after coming off Levlen and miscarried sad

I was like Mel O came off the pill and 28 days later got my period, but even before I was on the pill I had a clockwork 28 day cycle.
I have read that it can take approx 6months for your cycle to return to normal after coming off the pill.

I was also like you. I was on Levlen for 10 years before we started trying for our first son. My periods came back fairly regular soon after and it took us 5 months to fall pregnant. I fell pregnant again last year, only to MC in November. Back on the TTC wagon.....

I am also a newbie TTC. I stopped my pill at the beginning of December 2011 and finally got my period 3 weeks later. I had been on the pill for 13 years. I am now 34 days later for AF and not having any signs of it coming anytime soon. I took a pregnancy test a few days ago, which was negative and left it on bathroom cabinet. A few hours later i looked at it again and it had a very very faint positive blue line. Can anybody help??? Is this a positive or evaporation line?..Thanks!smile

Welcome sweetie!!! Never look at a test after 10 mins as it will give u an evap line, this is y they say throw out after 10 mins. I would get another test nd c wot it says as if it was a true line it should come up straight away now.

I too was on Levlen for about 7 years.. As soon as I got my period exactly 28 days after stopping, I was also very regular for about the next 6 months, I am still regular but with a slightly longer cycle now (31 days)
