Pull Out Method Rss

[font="Verdana"]Hi Ladies, I'm just after a little bit of advice or experience. A little bit of background...I came off the pill around September last year to begin trying. DP and I then decided it wasn't the right time (jobs, moving etc). We've now decided we'll try this year. I have come off the pill to 'not try but not prevent'. I am on my first cycle off the pill and my cycles have always been pretty regular 28-29 days. DP and I BDed around CD 10 and 11 and we used the pull out method. I know how hard it can be to get pregnant and thought it would be near impossible using this method. On around CD19/20 I found the BIGGEST glob of EWCM (sorry TMI). Would this come for any reason other than O? Anyway, I'm now two days late. So I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the pull out method and whether they got pregnant from this or never have? Both my DP and I would be thrilled to get pregnant. Also, I am currently working on a mine site in the middle of nowhere so can't get a test until Friday.. sad
My husband and I used this for the 8 years of our marriage as our on,y birth control. We only ever got pregnant the three times we wanted to. I think it depends how reliable the man is in the situation... Good luck either way.
I've used the pull out method a lot over the past 5 years. I haven't got pregnant off it once. But as SLC said it does depend how reliable the man is in the situation.

It could be that you didn't Ovulate until CD19/20 so therefor your AF might not be due yet. I know you said your cycle is like clock work, but mine also used to be like clock work but is not now.
Just a thought.
Also the pull out method is not a very good form of birth control so you could be preg after all.
Sorry no real answer there but hopefully your answer comes soon good luck

Thanks Ladies!

You're so right, we don't know how reliable they are and how much goes in or out lol.

I guess I'll just have to wait until I can test or until I get AF...
I am pregnant with number 5- which was planned but previously with my exDH we used the pullout method for most of our marriage- the result- 4 unplanned but very loved pregnancies.

So not reliable- but thought on it is if you are but arent really trying, or not fussed either way i think its an ok form of birth control.

good luck!

Thanks Spinn, that's true, my cycles might not be as reliable as I thought or I might be stressing too much and just causing it to be late.

Wow Mrs Flash, 4 pregnancies with that method. I could very well be then. The way we're doing it is just kind of hoping fate will take over and we'll get pregnant when we're meant to. Hoping this is it but who knows smile

I really appreciate the feedback!
I got pregnant with the pull out method.
I'm pretty sure some pre semen comes out before they actually come.
Miss-B, I'm glad you posted a thread about this, because I've been curious too. We're also using the withdrawal method, pretty much have done for our entire relationship, and both our kids were planned. So, so far the method has worked. But it does only take one tiny sperm to fertilise an egg.
