HI tjk. was just coming in to update. Went EXCEPTIONALLY better than expected. They started out with the massive list of "worst case scenario" but when they went it there was Endo as suspected by everybody. They drained cysts and the best part they managed to unblock the 2nd tube. and the specialist thinks that my chance of falling preg naturally is now a lot better cool aye. Went into theatre at 8.30 awake by 11.20 and complaining for coffee lol so im good. Shoulder pain has just started kicking in but very mild so ..they gave me codeine and panadol. Very very happy with them. Funniest part was the look i got from the nurse when we were talking about something and instead of saying drinking and eating i said drinking and smoking coz i was half reading an anti smoking board in front of me lmao. Feel quite sad Del is not here though to celebrate this success with me.

So glad it went well!! You sound like you're doing fine and not in too much pain. Thats brilliant that they've unblocked your tube and drained cysts. Yes the dreaded Endo!! Seems its more common than I thought.

Yes very sad news about Del, I never spoke with her directly, but she gave a lot of great advice and was always very supportive. Hope she returns soon.

thanks tjk and mel. can someone in here who reads this let del know coz her strength in here is how i have gotten through this journey now and feel excited by it all... Yep. Apparently almost every female will suffer it at some stage in their lifes ..some do get affected by it others do not even know its there. Apparently its as common as 1 in 5 females having endo according to what I read and heard today. I still think the world of my specialists and am so so rapt with christchurchs Womans hospitals handlng my situation. And the best part. Not having to battle to get it dealt with properly.

Hi Tands, that's great news. I suffer from endo and had a laparoscopy also. It was removed and I was told I should be able to conceive. Unfortunately for me I had to resort to ivf which resulted in a very healthy DD2 who turned 1 today. I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck and I hope you get a BFP soon. Lots of sticky baby dust to you.

thanks so much mumof2gg. Having had your endo removed did it make you feel cleaner as in like rinsed out. (best way i can explain it-sounds silly but thats the best i could come up with). Coz thats how i feel much cleaner. its wierd but feels sooooooo good.

So glad you feel that way! I was told that is how I would feel but they couldn't remove mine so unfortunately I just felt like crap from having surgery sad I'm hoping I get that feeling in a few months after these hormones work.

thank you joanne. yep im great now. got out for my first post op walk today feeling real good. but it did make me feel like i had run a marathon lol
