trying for #2 before we get married Rss

Hi we have a dd who is 13months and have been trying for number 2 since december we got enaged on monday and have decied to get married october 2013. we thought we kept trying for another 3 months and if we have no luck by then wait til after our wedding to try again. was wondering am i being selfish not wanting to have a newborn or be pregnant at our wedding i also worry bout the age gap between DD and the next one if we wait i just don't know what to do any advice would be much appreciatted smile
I guess you could try to decide what is most important to you - would you rather have them closer in age gap or would you rather be married before another one... you could always get married sooner and then start to try. It is obviously very hard to know as you don't know how long it would take to get pregnant.

Me and my partner has been engaged for 5 years now and finally set a for 13 Jan 2012, and just when I booked a venue found out I was pregnant with a due date of 1st Jan, so I decided there is no way I am getting married 2 weeks after having a baby, so we are still not married! Haven't even talked about it again!

Have a talk with you partner and try to work out what is going to fit in best with both of you smile

All the best

I dont think you are selfish at all. I have an 11 month old and am TTC again now. I got engaged when I was 5 months pregnant and have made absolutely no plans to get hitched what so ever! I'm thinking of waiting til after bub#2 to get married so that everyone can be involved in the wedding.. smile
I agree that you need to decide what you want more but my husband and i decided to get married in November 2010 and we started ttc number 2 after we had booked it, well i fell pregnant a whole lot quicker than i expected to and was due 4 weeks after our wedding but decided to keep the date I LOVED being pregnant at my wedding

Hi just thought that I would reply. We got engaged almost two ago, and then a year after started TTC. I was 30 weeks pregnant at our wedding on Friday (just gone). It's not so bad actually. I had trouble finding a dress to go over the bump (which may have more to do with the language barrier), but it was great not drinking at my wedding. I remember everything, and don't regret for one second being pregnant. Everyone (except maybe the minister) knew we weren't getting married because of the baby (since we've been together 4 years). We didn't plan it like that, it just happened. To us, a baby was more important. My advice is life is not meant to be straight forward and simple, and if you can handle hiccoughs (like getting pregnant too early or too late wrt the wedding) then go for it.

My DH proposed after my DS was born in. On our anniversary in 2008 we decided that we would get married on that date the following year. Then SIL had a baby in Dec that year which made DH very clucky so we decided to try for another baby. I didn't want to wait for either so we decided to keep the wedding the same date and I didn't mind if I was pregnant. I was 31 weeks when we got married and I wouldn't change it at all. We had a great day.

i started ttc 5 months b4 my wedding and the 2 months after my wedding i found out i was pregnant but i had my period on my wedding night I would have rather been pregnant then lolz
