Should I be hopeful or accept that BFN means BFN Rss

We have only just started ttc but I do feel time is against me as I'm 38 and I just want it to happen quickly.
I know that I definitely ovulated last Saturday, I even had the Mittelschmerz (ovulation pains) so we did the BD both Saturday and Sunday night.
I'm now day 27 of my cycle (which can be anywhere from 28 to 32 days) and its 10 days since possible conception.
I did a home test last night and then again this morning. Both BFN. I sort of felt that it was going to be positive, hopeful anyway.
I feel so disappointed but since reading through some posts its now dawning on me that BFN could be false.

I dont want to get my hopes up but its so hard not to. I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for AF and hope that the crimson tide does not come in.

10 dpo is very early to test give it longer and test again maybe a week

I know its pretty early but I used Pregnosis Early Pregnancy Test and its says to test as early as 7 to 10 days after conception and its 99% accurate.

Its not over until AF arrives lovinbeingamum! I wouldnt always trust the test, Ive heard of many people taking early preg tests but not even getting a BFP till a week or so after the missed period. Implantation can happen anywhere from 6-12 days and then apparently a couple of days for the HCG to register in the urine after implantation. So if you are it could be later implantation.

I would say test in another couple of days if AF doesnt show. Good Luck!!
It's early, don't give up. FR says from 9 DPO but I've only gotten a + that early with 1 in 4 of my pregnancies. The others were all 11,12 & 13 DPO all with FR tests. And i was getting BFN's before then. Good luck!!
