Faint Positive Line - Crystal Clear

Hi all

The DH and I started trying for number 2 about two months ago and last night I took a test and the was the most faintest of positive line, blink and you will miss it kind of thing. Today I took another test and its slightly stronger but no where near as strong as the Negative line.

Has anyone else had this and been pregnant?

Period is due tomorrow.

I haven't had that experience. Just did one and there it was, clear as day. But just wanted to say good luck! Hope it works out.

I took a pregnancy test when my son was only 4 months old, and had exactly the same result - 2 tests, faint positive line.
Turns out I was definitely pregnant with baby number 2!
My advice is to see your doctor - but I'll give you an early congratulations! How exciting!

Oooh, I hope you're pregnant, the same thing happened to me this week!

Tested Sun night, day before AF due, negative, no sign of AF Mon or Tues so tested Wed morning & faintest of faint second line. Still no sign of AF & I'm really thinking I'm pregnant now, hope so anyway! I have a dr appointment Monday afternoon but will most likely take the last preg test I have sometime over the weekend & see if that second line is getting stronger smile

Oh I'm glad Im not the only one! Sunday I was complaining to DH that my boobs hurt like hell, he said "and?" and I said, I wondered if I was pregnant....we weren't meant to be trying for 3 months.

Anyway in my rage of frustration that he didn't believe it could be possible (we'd had unprotected rudies 5 or 6 days before I thought I would ovulate) I did a pregnancy test, kinda mucked it up (who could muck it up)...peed in such a hurry I didn't think I'd got any on the stick (hehehe!) Anyway thought it was negative.

Next day I decided to try in the morning, did the test, waited a minute (meant to be 3) and decided it must just be my period coming early giving me sore boobs (AF wasn't due til Friday).

Got on with my breakfast, came back upstairs to brush my teeth and went to chuck the test out and my heart skipped a beat...there was the faintest line! Rung DH who had gone to work and have been on a nervous cloud nine ever since.....did another test that night and it was definately a second line.

Retrieved the mucked up one and I'm sure if you squint there was a slight line!

Waited for later in the week and the line was darker - going to doctor on Monday! So excited. I thought we would have a very long and hard journey as I'd had an ectopic pregnancy and lost a tube, so happy for miracles!

I would test with a different brand.
Every time I used Crystal Clear it came up with positive when it was actually negative. First response is the brand I would recommend! (heck, I prefer internet cheapies or ANY other brand over Crystal Clear!!!)

I really hope you are pregnant, but I agree with Mel-O, test again with a different brand (just to be absolutely sure), one with a pink dye would be best. I too have had "positives" with Crystal Clear, but I wasn't pregnant.

We had the same thing for 3 days and i was pregnant, My GP told me that a line is a line and t usually doesnt show up unless there is something there, just maybe not enough yet to make it darker! Good luck i hope you are pregnant!! grin

My obstetrician says that a positive is a positive, should get stronger and stronger. I had positives but they never got stronger and blood tess confirmed I was pregnant, but it never progressed and I lost them. As hormones increase The line will get stronger, try again in 5-7days time and you should notice a big difference. Congrats and good luck

I had the faintest of the faintest lines when I took the test, and knew straight away I was preggas. Went to the docs and he said it was a neg cause it was so faint, but I knew I was. If its there your preggas no matter how faint it is. Congrats!! smile

Just thought I'd add here that you can most definently get pregnant with unprotected sex 7 days before you ovulate - I am living proof!! I thought sperm only lived for 3 days so took a risk and yep! Pregnant! This actually happened twice - the first time I thought it couldn't, and found out it could. The 2nd time I just took a risk cause i thought at my age (39) surely it can't be that easy to fall pregnant anymore but....it was and is and here I am, very very pregnant!
