IVF thread? Rss

Hi Ladies,
It's been a long while since I have been on smile Just wondering if there is an IVF thread going? Or am I missing it due to not understanding the new profile layout haha (that's how long it has been since I was last on lol).
Thanks smile
Hi there,
I haven't seen an active ivf thread for a while so maybe you could start a new one? Good luck with your journey smile

Hi , I was on the old IVF thread and I dont think it has been active for about 18 months, but start one up as I am sure there are lots of ladies in the same position. I am happy to join and share with you all. I did IVF for several years and have a precious 3 year old boy. This took 6 cycles for us and we sadly had 3 M/C along the way.It is good to talk and share, I wish I had found the thread during my journey. Good luck with yours, where are you at with it? Cheers Carolyn smile

Hi I used to also belong to the old ivf thread. I did 2 cycles, the 1st I had a m/c and the 2nd go I got my precious dd2 miracle who is now 15 months. It was a god send at the time, to share my experiences with others that are going through the same thing. I wish you the best of luck. smile

wll im back in goign for round two. so far all levels have been exactly what they needed t be and surprisingly im not "reactive" this round. may be experience has done that to me.
Thanks guys! I am currently on my first round of IVF (FSH antagonist cycle), finding it OK, the side effects not nearly as bad as what I had imagined. Quite emotional at the start (expected) but I've settled down the last few days. Stomach has a few nice purple bruises on it though sad On 150mg FSH and 250mg Cetrotide. Should be going in for retrieval on Wednesday if all goes well, but I am at high risk of OHSS (ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome), as I have more than 30 large follicles, with more than 20 of them a decent size!!! Feeling a constant pressure in my lower abdomen, which is steadily getting more and more intense. Have another scan tomorrow to make sure things are OK. Fx the retrieval goes ahead on Wednesday although I'm starting to worry that the OHSS may put a stop to that sad

Tands what stage are you in your cycle?

Just wanted to wish you the best of luck. DD2 was the result of an antagonist cycle. I found it very intense but so much quicker than the down regulation cycle. I remember quite clearly how much you feel bloated at this stage. smile

good luck for Wed M&M, hope the egg retrieval goes well. make sure you have a heat bag , great for your sore tummy afterwards. look forward to hearing about some lovely healthy eggs..carolyn

M&M im at the injection stage so far. Have been quite ill and realised the Buserelin was doing it but the Gonal F is countering it. Had a scan yesterday and was quite pleased to see 7 follicles. Have another saturday but yesterdays blood test also was good from what the nurse said. Just trying not to get my hopes up.
If you've got over 20 follicles just be prepared for OHSS. Not the nicest experience. I had 22 eggs retrieved and had mild OHSS symptoms - I looked 5 mths pregnant, a lot of bloating and pain. I was lucky that it subsided and they went ahead with the transfer.

Very pleased it worked. Currently 6 weeks but dealing with an enlarged right ovary (12cm) with burst cysts leaving me with a lot of pain.

Although saying that, now knowing what I know now about OHSS I would still go through it again to get my little Bub growing inside me.

Good luck with it all. I hope it goes well for you.
I have already been through a round bluskydays so very familiar with what to expect. Familiar with OHSS as my friend had it and had to stop treatment. So far so good. 10 follicles this round so im very happy.
