Nausea!!!!! Rss

I think that I may be pregnant(only just less then 10 days)and I feel really sick. I have been taking ginger tablets but they arn't really helping. The only thing that gives me some relief is eating, however once I finish eating I feel worse.
Any ideas to get through this, I don't want to put onto too much weight!! =(
do a test to make sure you are so you don't discount real illness.

morning sickness is one of those things you have to get through as best as you can and what works is what you should do as long as it's safe for you and your baby. the first trimester you will probably feel so hungry and so sick at the same time that i wouldn't worry about weight gain unless you're drowning in unhealthy food. I read somewhere that putting on about 14 kgs is a good goal so you could gain 2kgs in the first trimester 6-8 in the second and 4 in the last. in saying that you may be different and do more or less. worry about a nutritious and sustainable quantity that helps to manage your blood sugar, cravings, insatiable hunger, night visits to the fridge and the development of your child.... and that's the best you can do.

I feel for you - is this your first? So, right now stop worrying about gaining weight and just do whatever helps you deal with the nausea. Later on when it starts to ease off, then you can get on with being healthier and doing some exercise. I'm expecting my fourth (11 weeks) and with every pregnancy I have gained between 4 and 6 kilos in the first twelve weeks because the only way I can cope with the nausea is to eat...and eat.. and eat!! It doesn't make me feel better, but if I don't all I can do is heave. With my first I was so depressed because I just felt so fat and disgusting, but I have learnt to just let it go and deal with it later. I gained 16 kgs overall with my 3, and lost it in a couple of months, plus a few kilos extra - all just from breatfeeding. It's horrible and nothing worked for me, I just had to ride it outl
I'm still just taking one day at a time right now and trying to cope. My nausea usually lasts until 16 weeks. Hang in there.
Thanks for your advise. This will be my third bub, I took a test this morning and got a very faint positive result so very early in pregnancy. I put on a heap of weight with my first which I found very hard to lose. I didn't put on as much with my second, but still didn't get back to my pre pregnancy weight. I am scared that I am going to become very obese which isn't good for me or my children =(
