relief for colds during pregnancy Rss

Once again.. I have a cold. I have always been one to get colds easily and usually it's codeine (I get migraines which only get worse while sick), cough medicine and bed. Since being pregnant I have stopped taking any form of medication and only take pregnancy vitamins, but I am running out of ways to treat this damn cold! I have honey and lemon drinks, make chicken soup (from scratch), do the head-over-steam thing, curl up in bed and dress warmly. Still nothing helps. I'm a snotty, moody, cranky pregnant mess and don't want anyone to look at me. Which is no fun. So any tricks and tips to beating colds?
This pregnancy I was the same very early on. I had a mega cough too. The only thing that helped was durotuss which my dr suggested. Maybe ask your doc or pharmacist?

OOOHHH... INTERNET FIGHT. WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? CAPS LOCK ME TOO DEATH?
(Noddy's not fat ffs!)

I asked my GP but everything he suggested didn't work, and I don't want to try anything too strong. I guess I'll just stick with fluids and bed rest and hope it goes away soon.
I guess it depends on how far along you are.... I am 38 weeks and have a really bad viral infection and the doc was happy to put me on antibiotics and also a puffer to help me breath..... She did also suggest natural remedies but with only weeks left i need to get rid of this sad
