ha ha yes i remember very clearly! 1 midwife told me that you get a metal sought of taste when pregnant which mostly makes red meat taste raw. I'm not sure how true that is but i know all I could stomach for 14 weeks was vegemite on cruskits and bananas! lol definately don't miss that stage at all, but yes its all worth it! my son is nearly 2 so its been a while but still very fresh in my mind! smile

Good luck with it all I hope you get over the morning sickness soon enuf! Oh also I found green apples helped with the queeziness!
hey, i had very mild morning sickness but i couldnt even look at raw meat let alone cook it and eat it. It was awful! I hope your morning sickness eases off soon
I had pretty bad all day sickness. And just like Mellycolly I couldn't even look at raw meat.
The smell of it cooking made me want to throw up. Poor DH had to make his own dinner for a long time while I sat in the lounge fanning my face so I couldn't smell the meat.
I sooo turned off red meat it just did not taste good, I think it was a good 2 months i ate a bit of chicken but no red meat, lots of toasted tomato sandwiches.
Its known as hyperemesis and I had it.
Are you able to drink anyhting and keep it down?

I couldn't EAT red meat, but as I worked at an abbotoir for the first 7.5months of my pregnancy, I was handling raw bloody meat that had been mooing only 24 hrs previously, hehe, and I was fine with that. Saying that, I ate a lot of cheeseburgers, which was wierd because before I was pregnant, i couldn't STAND the sight of them, hehe. Also another thing that would make me throw up at was bacon and eggs, which was my baby's fathers fave food, so i couldnt even cook it. Pork chops as well, no way! What i craved terribly was vegemite and cheese toasted sandwiches, and that packet pork crackle, very very salty stuff. I also loved canned baby peas, which i couldn't stand before i got pregnant. Wierd stuff hey!

My morning sickness was at night, from pretty much as soon as i conceived to right on 12 weeks, which was good for me regarding work, as i could not have gotten outside quick enough if my MS was during the daytime.

Good luck with yr pregnancy, my daughter is almost 17 months old now, and as one of the other ladies said in their reply, i remember ALL of it VERY vividly!!

Thanks ladies! Its nice to also hear your experiences and advice too! I just couldnt get over the red meat turn off, had nothing like it with my now 2 yr old when pregnant with her. The body is amazing!

Thanks again for your well wishes and I enjoyed reading ALL of your replies!

I was pretty much off meat for the first 8-10 weeks of pregnancy. I would cook meat for hubby and just have the vegies myself. But after that is was pretty much normal eating.. until it got hot and I craved ice. But that is another story! smile
No problem with meat, but just couldn't eat bananas. Normally I love them, but not whilst preggers.
Hi with my first pregnancy i could'nt stand the smell of a butchers it turned my stomach really bad, but i could eat it. This lasted the whole pregnancy YUK
Im 7 weeks at the moment and I have constant morning sickness its horrible Im over it haha I cant eat anything really.
