Extreme Itchiness and other syptoms Rss

Hi, I am 38 weeks pregnant and have had an extremely itchy vagina the last two days so much that I did a bit of exploring and found that inside there are little white bumps present. Also have white, milky discharge. So sorry if TMI but thought someone might recognise the symptoms and be able to tell me what it is??

Researched thrush and thought it might be this? Help please...

I'm with Skippy, it sounds like thrush to me.
Thanks for your replies ladies...Do I have to go to doctor and find out for sure or can I just go to pharmacy and grab something from there?

Because you aren't totally sure that it is thrush, I would go to the doctors just to check.
Hope it all clears up soon!!

You can just go to the pharmacy to get some its harmless and available over the counter they will just ask you your symptoms and if they agree direct you to the right product.

Hi,

I'm 38wks along as well and had been having the same symptoms just this week. I just did some research and discovered that all the symptoms were the same for Thrush.

I just went to the Pharmacy. They gave me some cream. I also found that having unsweetened cultured yoghurt or probiotic drinks will also help a lot. So i just bought some Yakult from Woolworths.

Feeling a lot better. I'm keeping up with this routine as I'm scared I'll pass it onto Bub during birth.

Hope this helps.

Best to go to the doctor and they'll do swabs. Make sure it's thrush and send away samples to make sure there's nothing else going on. I went to my doc for the same thing last week. Plus it's cheaper if your doctor prescribes it to you. You'll have to get clomazol vaginal cream, it's a 6day treatment. I was constantly itchy and very sore and half an hour after my first night of the treatment it went away, felt great. You still have to do the whole 6 days though to make sure it's gone. it comes with these sort of plastic plungers and you insert it in and push the cream inside. Be sure to wear a pad, it'll come back out a bit!! Might be good to get your partner tested too as it can be transmitted by having sex..
