Baby not yet engage Rss

HEY! I'm 37weeks tomorrow and baby is still not engaged. I am aware that sometimes babies can engage during labour but this is my first pregnancy and midwife has told me yesterday that baby is still floating up high:(
But 3weeks ago when I had a checkup they said he was engaged and ready to come! Apparently he is engaging and floating back up.
Should I just let things happen or is there some things I can do to help him go down and stay down?
P.S I've tried squats while singing "DOWN DOWN! BABY GO DOWN!" like the coles ad! It hasn't worked:( lol
My baby didn't engage until I was well into labour. She sat really high. Don't think there is anything you can go to make your baby engage.
Sorry I dont have any advice on how to encourage baby to engage.
But with Ds1 he didnt engage till the day I went into labour so you still have plenty of time, and i say enjoy it while it lasts cause having bub down is not the most comfortable thing in the wourld

haha yeah but not exactly comfortable having bubs sitting so high either smile
They do tend to pop in and out even when they are engaged doesn't mean they will stay that way. You could try a little light exercise, like walking.
My baby was engaged at 36 weeks then at about 41 weeks she floated up a bit and my midwife told me to bounce on a trampoline!! and to bounce up and down on a swiss ball while watching telly etc. And it worked for me grin

Thanks for your stories ladies. Sounds like it's pretty common afterall!
I guess I should just stop obsessing over something that is out of my control.
Midwife scared me when she said that if he's not engaged before labour then the umbilical cord can slip down before his head. I can't stop thinking about that now either. But I'm sure It'll all be fine:)
yeah dont stress.. there is nothing you can do.
#1 didnt engage til shes was coming out,
#2 was up and down a lot in the last 4 weeks
currently 28wks with #3 and its been popping up and down since i could feel it move i reckon..
good luck, all will be fine!
