slight cramping
im 24 wks and the last 2 nights and only at nights have had slight cramping. im just wondering if this is normal and common? is it just my body and baby growing or should i be concerned?
i wouldnt be worried unless it was realy bad cramping or it was progressively getting worse.
Its probably your muscles loosening. If it only happens sparatically probably nothing to be concerned about. Have a warn glass of milk at night. Good luck with the pregnancy.
thank you for the reassurance. this is all new to me and its hard to know whats normal or not. i don't want to be a worry or one of those 'stressers'. i found having a warm shower helped
I've had a couple of cramps too, and am 24 weeks. It's perfectly normal, at this point your uterus etc is really starting to stretch out. One of my friends had similar cramps right through her pregnancy.
One of the weekly pregnancy updates I get also said it's perfectly normal to get cramps as your muscles start to try strengthening themselves so they can push the baby out during labour. Some cream and a light tummy massage around the sore areas has helped relieve cramping for me.
Plus, if you're tired or dehydrated, try a glass of water, lying still for half an hour and apparently eating bananas can help ease muscle cramps too. If you do get quite a lot of pain though, definitely bring it up with your doc at the next check-up (which you should be due for this week or in the next couple of weeks). HTH.
