Has anyone experienced this? Plus my intro and hello!

Hey guys,

I'm currently 9 weeks as of tomorrow (monday 20th Aug). Thought I would introduce myself. I'm an 18 year old female in a loving relationship of 4+ years. This pregnancy was not planned (BC baby) but will sure be a loved and spoilt baby. I'm currently studying nursing and will finish this year and the plan is to defer until baby is a year old then will go back.

I have had a very confusing pregnancy thus far. Started feeling strong symptoms at only 2 weeks, throwing up alot, sore breasts, tired, bloated etc. I did lots of pregnancy tests, blood+urine and also a ultrasound but no one could explain to me why I kept getting negative results until I finally showed positive on a ultrasound last week! So far there is only one but he or she likes to hide so we can't really see it well.

Has anyone experienced this?

I am not much help on the negative preg tests though I have heard that it can happen, and that is early for such strong symptoms, though everyone is different.
Can I ask if you had an internal ultrasound? at that stage your baby is so tiny that it is difficult to see unless it is an internal...
I had an ultrasound (internal) at 9 weeks and it still didn't look much like a baby to me laugh but could see it moving a little and it's heart beat.

No I didn't have an internal, just over my belly at 5-6 weeks although I did ask them to do one vaginally. They only saw a luteral cyst but no baby. 8 weeks was when they finally saw him/her!

Congrates on the pregnancy. I to am having a little one I am 9 weeks preggie as of Sat 18/8 unplanned was on birth control so very much a shock to us as we were supposibly finished (#5 now on its way). All my previous pregnancies I never showed anything until at minium couple of days after periods due even then hardly ever showed up. This one however I had tests showing positive at 3 weeks couple days and was a bit weird/off prior giving me funny feeling something is different and I had to have tests as was suppose to have a docs test that couldn't be done if suspicious of pregnancy so this was the only reason why tested when did. These tests were both urine and blood.

Had ultrasound at 6 weeks showing a little jelly bean with heartbeat. Its amazing.

Congratulations! All things happen for a reason, looks like the little one chose you as his/her Mummy?

Any inkling as to what gender your babies will be? My grandmothers both seem to think girl as I have been so sick. and also I only look at girl baby clothes. Originally thought it would be a boy but further I get the more I seem to change my mind lol

I was thinking a girl. Boys I throw up with the smell of foods girls not so much even thou I have been ill not the same and since being #5 symptoms are suppose to worsen? And for some reason even before I was pregnant hubby and I always thought if we were to have another it would be a girl and been right 4 times before lets see if five? Its strange I have two of each and this has its differences. Anyway hope your doing well.
