Book Suggestions (no twilight or harry potter please!!!!) Rss

I used to read all the time, and miss it. I am so out of touch with what books are out nowdays.

Suggestions are wanted....

I have 'my sisters keeper' on my list to buy, will pick that up from the book shop tomorrow.

Now what else should I get??

Definately not into twilight or harry potter, so refrain from suggesting them! lol

I love all the Jodi Picoult books, so any of them

They are about all the books I have read apart from some of the oldies that I always read, oh and twilight of course hehe

I adore all the Jodi Picoult books.
Also I love Janet Evanovich her Stephanie Plum series is hilarious!!!!!!!!!
One for the money.
Two for the show.
Are the first two in her series, light, easy reading, but truly laugh out loud stuff.

Mr Reed born 20/1/2010. Too cute smile

Depends on what you're into...

I love anything by Harlan Coben - he writes thriller / mystery
Im a big book geek lol. What are you into???

I just read The Time Travelers Wife, was excellent.

The Bronze Horseman series by Paullina Simons is also good

if you go to the books and resources section of the forum where baby names and all the pregnancy sections are, you will find a 4 page thread full of great book suggestions.
I have already read about 10 of them and have another 15 or so on my shelf waiting to be read.

Huge book fan and could suggest HEAPS but this thread is a good place to start!

Ditto!

One of my favourite reads is called "Love Greg and Lauren" by
Greg Manning. It is about a woman who is burned very badly in the 9/11 terror attacks. The book consists of emails her husband sent to all their family and friends most days to keep them up to date on her progress. Bit of a tearjerkr though.

I love James Patterson, he's so easy to read and a good story teller.

This is a great book as are most of her books.

I'm currently reading The Pessimon Tree by Bryce Courtney. I'm enjoying it but regret there aren't too many reading hours available anymore so it's taking a while.

I loved:
The Lovely Bones (soon to come out at the movies)
The Red Tent (fantastic book about women and our relationships but set in Biblical times - sounds dumb but everyone woman I have told to read it has loved it)
The Five People You Meet in Heaven
