Just wondering if any of you lovely ladies would know if we get a payment from family assistance once our child has turned 4 & had their 4 yr old health check & immunization? The website is telling us to notify them that the health check has been done, but what for? Do we get some sort of payment for this? Im a little confused? Also do we still get the $700 per child once we have done our tax return? Our accountant has our 2009-2010 financial information as we speak, should be getting it back very soon, i know im a bit slack!

AFAIA it's just a new requirement for the immunization allowance. So you get the check done and immunizations/CO form and then you get the immunization allowance. Not sure if the allowance is called something else now though? I think it only came into affect this financial year (??)

DS recently had the 4 year old needles/check, we were sent out a immunisation statement and received a payment of $129 3 months later. from memory we were paid the same amount after DS was 18 months.

When i got my son done last year they had changed the rules. They used to just give it to you at the 18month immunisations but that wasn't good enough because it wasn't good enough incentive for people to get the 4 year imunisations done then. So now, they are giving half at the 18months then another half at the 4 years. Because when i got my sons done i had recieved all mine at him 18mnth i was inelligable to get anything at him 4 year ones. So, did you get anything when you did your childs 18month ones?
If you ARE entitled to anything, the sum from what i remeber isn't much more than $300.

I think you get 2 payments - one at 2 years and 1 at 5 years:

Im in the same position as skippy, i received the full amount after my DD had her 18month injections so i am not entitled to anything this time round.

No qwe don't get an extra payment, they have changed the rules that you to continue getting any family payments for a 4 year old you required to do a full health check at the same time as immunization. I had my son done the day before his 4th birthday and 3 weeks later my payments stopped I called up to find out why and they said that there was no reccord or it being done so I rang my drs and they said they put it through but something obviously happened. I eventually got the immunization to call my drs and confirm and my payments were all fixed and got a bak payment of the fortnight I didn't get paid for. So make sure ur dr puts it through. Good luck
