This will sound weird Rss

Well yesterday morning dd1 woke up with a rash on her ankles legs tummy and face her ankles had tiny welts so I booked a doc app now this is where it gets queer and random by the time the app comes in the arvo the rash has completely gone the welts are down too!!! The doc looked at me like ooookkk nothing is wrong!!

THEN this morning dd1 wakes with the same thing but worse the welts on her knees were massive!!!
So I booked her a app for after preschool I told her kindy teacher about it too. Then her teacher comes up and says look at your daughters face her rash is gone!! I mean the rash was no where to be seen her welts too were all down!!

WTH do I cancelled her app as it would be pointless taking her in with no symptoms!! I have stripped her bed and washed her bedding in hot water incase something is in her sheets but really any one have a idea??

The bed sounds mightly suspicious.
Change your washing powder/liquid? From what i've read, what you wash the kids stuff in can do this to them. Even if they haven't even previously had a problem with it.

Thanks skip we have had a issue in the past with radiant washing powder and her being allergic to it I have used the Aldi stuff for months now with no problem I have washed her sheets in disenfectant today (she might smell like a pine tree tomorrow laugh )
I'm hoping tomorrow she doesn't look horrid again when she wakes sad
This happened to my DD1 a few times. Put her down for her arvo nap, she wakes after a few hours and says i'm itchy. By the time she got from her bed to the lounge she was covered in hives. I freaked thinking she was having a allergic reaction to something (the spots were going all over her face). In the 10mins it took me to call the doc and take her down there they were gone.

It happened a few times and they just told me to give her an antihisthamine. Then she got sick about 5 days later and they told me that the virus could have caused the hives before she got any symptoms.

Hope she is better soon

Thanks Hun I'm glad dd isn't soo odd after all I have noticed she has a runny nose?? Were her hives like insect bites like I don't think dd has been bitten by anything but they look like welts when your bitten by a ant there is no ants in her room though.
I seriously thought at least today her rash was going to hang around as it was way worse blink
Yeah raised red bite looking things. But too many to be bitten everywhere. Her's were itchy too. But didn't last long. Really odd. I did give her telfast when it happened again but don't think it really did much as they went away on their own anyway.

Could just be her body trying to fight off some kind of illness.

Only other thing I can think of is bed bugs?? Not likely but just a thought.

Don't worry it crossed my mind but I checked (I remember the segment they had on aca phew!!) and nope nothing luckily smile
Yep same with dd there are too many of the welts to be bites her knees were shocking sad actually now that I think of it after her lil sleep after the docs her face rash was back again and she slept on the couch that time. I have telefast in the fridge I might give it a go but I really think you right darl.
You really have given me the answers I was looking for thanks sweetie smile
Sounds like it is hives to me. Which can be caused by sooo many things. I get them from hot shower's, if im too hot when im sleeping or if it is hot outside and has recently been raining. If it is hives the only way to really figure out what it is is trial and error. Goodluck!
Could it be related to her heating up in bed??

When I was younger I used to get a rash similar because I had a mild allergy to heat. Sounds funny but once my legs had been under the covers for a while they would get red and nasty looking and be a bit itchy. It didnt even have to be really hot just enough to make me feel 'warm'.

Just a thought if the washing powder, etc turns out to not be the culprit.

Glad I could help. Fingers crossed she doesn't get sick.

Thanks ladies smile
Well she is asleep at the moment so i will check when she wakes up i out her in our bed for a nap. it could be sweat irritating her face maybe if it's a sweat rash or hives???
Are hives dotty looking or massive welts??? Iv never had hives so I'm not too sure??? Do hives come and go??? Like the rash and welts last like 5 hours tops and then her skin is clear and it is itchy too.

Glad I could help. Fingers crossed she doesn't get sick.

Thanks hun smile I'll see what arises in the next couple days!!
