toddler shoes Rss

ok so DS is going to need a new pair of shoes very soon, I just got him a cheap pair for his first ones as it was mainly to get him used to something on his feet.
He is now walking everywhere - still in barefeet at home.

so how much do you spend on toddlers shoes and what are good ones?

I've had a few mums recommend the bobux ones but I don't really feel comfortable spending $70 on a pair of shoes that he may wear for 6months, if I was to pay that much I'd want him wearing them 24/7.
thanks

hi there

i don't have any advise on what shoes to buy but my DD hardly wears shoes. at home she never has shoes on.

sorry I'm not much help, just thought I'd share that with u smile

I go to spendless. They usually got cute bub shoes.
Or BigW.

Dont usually spend more than 20$ thats for sure.

the best shoes ive bought both my older kids have been from best and less smile their toddler shoes are great, those ones that have a semi flexible but firm sole and do up with velco. ive never paid over $15-20 a pair and they wore them to death. other then that id say DONT get any from k-mart theyre terrible, always fit funny and dig into their feet.
I'd definately go with a pair of all leather my favourite place for buying them is My link they seem a little expensive at first but she is always having sales and free postage. My little girl has about 4 different pairs from there and they are great and they are non slip which i've found even though most baby shoes say they are they really aren't good luck

I got DS shoes from Spendless and they lasted 8 months until he grew out of them. They were on sale for about $15. The new pair I just bought him were from a sport shop in the after Christmas sales - Adidas shoes reduced from $50 to $30 and they are really good.

as long as a shoe fits them properly and provides the right support etc it doesnt matter how much you spend.
My folks spent HEAPS of money on shoes and getting my feet properly fitted at Clarks shoes actual store (back 20+yrs ago) and then Betts&Betts, and my toes still point out (not majorly though), not straight.
I dont spend more than $50 on my shoes (except sneakers which last a good 3-4yrs and even then i go up to $100), so in comparision, i spend up to $30 on my sons shoes.
Their feet grow too bloomin' quickly to spend lots of money on shoes.
I was wondering this too. But my DS has massive feet...I don't think he would even fit into any of the soft soled shoes!

I'm going to try big w as they have heaps of toddler shoes in their catalogue.
This doesn't really apply to your DS as he's walking everywhere but I buy pre walkers as DD hasn't started properly walking yet. I have bought all DD's toddler shoes from Baby Paws and they're really lovely. They are around $35 a pair for full leather shoes so that's what I'm prepared to spend at the moment. But as I said, DD hasn't started walking properly yet so I'm sure I'll change my mind when she starts walking and wearing them out flat knacker. grin
Also check out Betts kids when they have the airflex shoes on sale, you can get them at a great price smile

Target are good too-they have the soft soled baby shoes and then the pre-walker shoes (have harder sole than baby shoes, but not as hard as kids shoes)
our son wore them all the time, and they held up and not too pricey if you can get them on special too.
I have had a few pairs of these soft soled shoes for my daughter. They are really lovely and it is almost like bare feet for them, but with protection if that makes sense? They can spread their toes for balance.

Check them out everyone..........

My MIL mainly buys my DD her shoes so I can't help you with price, however she LOVES to wear shoes (got that from her mummy!)
