hey earlier today DS fell and bit his tongue and bled and it hurt him so he wanted to BF then he fell asleep
i think it is still hurting him now though does anyone have idea what i can do to make it not hurt?

he grabbed it then cried a little bit so thats what mad me think it hurs still

Ouch poor lil man sad That would've soooo hurt! I agree about sucking on some ice, give him a cup of it so he has plenty or an icy pole if you give him those

Frozen blueberries are good enough, when he is some with them give him some ice or something cold to munch on. If you feel he is in pain give him some panadol smile

thanks smile i just gave him a bowl with crushed ice and some berries which are frozen and he seems pretty happy with that smile

i agree with the others, something cold to munch on like they said and some panadol if you think he needs it. rest assured tongues heal very quickly, it will be ok tomorrow smile make sure you give him soft things to eat like mash potato and soft vegies for tea and avoid things like biccies or chewy things like meat for today, dont need to make chewing any harder for him is hes got a sore mouth.

DD fell over once on some tiles and split that little bit of skin between your top gums and top lip, it bled like crazy and i honestly crapped myself a bit i thought shed knocked out a tooth!! but it healed pretty much over night. she couldnt eat crunchy things for a day or so tho. so i thought it might help wink hope he cheers up poor little man

Luckily it's in his mouth so will heal quick!

Also avoid anything tangy or acidic until it heals cause that may cause it to sting.

If he is fussy eating dinner just give him something cold first to numb it a bit.
