Tongue Tie

My DS is 4 and has been going to a speech therapist for the last 6 months. She noticed today that he has tongue tie and has written a referal to our GP. Is there anyone else that has discovered it around the same age as my DS? What was your experience with it and how was it corrected?

Just thought I would do an update on my DS. We've decided to go privately for his initial appointment as the wait through the hospital is going to be too long. If he needs surgery we may have to pay for it. I'm hoping that it will be fixed by the time he starts school. If there's anyone that has been through this how was your childs speech after the surgery?
