giving up bottle 2 yo Rss

Hi

We've decided to stop DS bottle at night - he's not had it for a few days as has had cough/cold and threw up a few times so we figured we may as well stop it now. Only problem is he won't really drink milk from a cup, Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help with this, I've tried a take and toss cup but he just likes playing with it and sucking on the sipper. He does have milk on cereal and yogurt/cheese/custard so can make sure he gets enough calcium in other ways but it would be nice to have him drinking milk too (he would have about 150-200ml in bottle)

I do sort of feel bad as he's been asking for Bot-bot after his bath.

If he's not having bottle at bed/or milk do I need to give a snack instead (before teeth brushing)

Thanks for your help!

Well I can't relate to the bottle at that age we gave our son sippy cups at 11 months and he did winge a bit but not to bad, but instead of the bottle we had the dummy. So on new years eve we threw them all out cause he got a bit possesive of them cause he would usually just want them at night time. So he was 2 and half when we got rid of them and we didnt talk about them and when he ask for it we just pretended we didnt know what he was talking about withing a week he forgot all about it.
So if you want to do it just chuck them all out so your not tempted for it he will soon learn that he can get to bed without that comfort. And buy a new sippy cup with his favourite characters on it that he will pick from thats what my sil did and it worked well.
goodluck
