toddler beds

hi there at what age did you mummy's and daddy's put your little ones in to a toddler bed??? as my boy who has just turned 1 has just been put in to one due do he kept waking himself up during the night banging and crashing when he moved around and he was very hard to settle when it was nap time and at bedtime..since being in his bed he sleep a lot longer and goes down straight away

We moved DD1 into her big girl bed when she was 2, and will probably be the same for DD2, if not abit longer.

DS was 12months too

DD was almost 3 and we put her straight into a king single bed.

We took the side rail off DS cot when he was 2 to make it into a bed but I think he is too big for his cot anymore so we ordered hm a big new bed last week smile

DD1 at 16 months as we needed the cot. Straight into a big single bed no problems.
DD2 at about 2 years. Same deal.
DD3 is 21 months and still in her cot with the side off (she's a climber) she's quite little so need to find a low bed she can get in and out off.

Plan is to move DD to a bed when she turns 2, so she can get used to it in time for when bub is born, then he/she can sleep in DD's cot smile
